because a show promoting squid behavior is irresponsible and disrespectful to every single sportbike rider that has been doing their part to get rid of the punk kid/organ donor sterotype that we have.
I support this petition because motorcycles have been a huge part of my life for over 35 years and I have spent most of those 35 years trying to change the public's view of our sport. This show is exactly what the public expects of motorcyclists. The morons on the show to date set our sport back 20 years per episode.
I'm in support of this petition for all the right reasons. Currently, the program is self petty to all riders, world wide. It's the Dr.Phil/Oprah take on bikes which shows how unilateral people can be.
I can't get past the dumb commerical. Is this your idea of motorcycle related content. Better go back to the drawing board. In the meantime, bring back Greg's Garage. At least it wasn't showcasing a bunch of squids on sportbikes. I see enough of that stuff.
This show would have potential IF they cover more positive aspects of the sport (i.e. track days, racing schools, meeting places) with an EDUCATED host while avoiding entirely the ridiculous poser subculture of "street stunting." Even the "graffiti" logo is offensive and should be re-done.
This show sucks. It misses the point of safe controlled riding. And it's giving people ideas to go stunt on streets, which is what kids will do. They don't show any news updates on MOTOGP, WSB, or AMA. This show and channel suck. I could make a better show by taking my camera to the track.
Please take this idiotic show off the air. The people hosting the show don't know what they're talking about, especially Rossi Morreales. The show reflects poorly on sportbikes and the people who ride them. Create a show that focuses on racing on the track and on sport touring, not the squidly poser crowd.

it depicts sportbike riders as reckless and dangerous, when that's really only a few in the community. What of the reckless riders that have other styles (Harley's, Dual-sport etc)? It's giving us an even worse name in the eyes of the general public. Bring back 2 Wheel Tuesdays, the REAL one, not the 2+ hours only.
after viewing the first episode, I found it to have no social or redeeming qualities normally tied to Speed Channel's lineup. such trash belongs either unrecorded or on public access cable. I hardly think any of your sponsors would condone the 'gangsta /squid' mentalilty.

because there is not enough responsible riding shown and no information on new products that would appeal to the normal rider. Also, there is no info on new bikes, road tests, or repair & upkeep tips on the show.

I've been riding for at lease 30 yrs.and a loyal fan of cycle programs on tv.but this show must go. soon.could I help pay to see what these bikes were really designed for,I'll even watch american chopper befor this show.
I support this petition due to the fact the people in the street portions of the show should not be allowed on a street bike. They are going to set our sport back 20 years if the current show continues as-is.
Superbikes portraid riders as reckless and irresponsible. If I'm going to be associated with that then i'm sad to be a biker. I Miss Greg White... In addition it was cool to have many bike related shows in one night... now we have a STUPID 2 wheel show with import cars to follow??? WTF?
It certainly doesn't represent me, or the majority of sport riders I know. We don't drink and ride on one wheel in traffic or stunt on the street. That's just the immature stereo type we need to raise our insurance higher. Thanks for that!

this show does not do anything to remove the stigma assosciated with motorcycling, despite the 'squids' portrayed on the show do not represent our community. Change the approach or take it off the air.

You are promoting illicit behavior, that is not only socially irresponsible, but also is a regression of public perception of sportbike riders all over. Very few sportbike enthusiasts subscribe to "squid" riding. We are in this sport for safe riding enjoyment, not reckless endangerment of ourselves or others. When we want to ride hard and fast, we take it to the track. In conclusion, please rework this show. There are so many things that you can do to portray us in a positive (and realistic) light while entertaining us, ultimately regaining viewership, thus pleasing your advertisers.
Does not represent the majority of riders - bad publicity, bring back Greg's Garage and remove some of the NASCAR BS....racing is ok..hours and hours of peoples lives is horrible!

B/C I have not watched the show. After seeing the commercial I was disgusted enough to not even watch. Adding more disfunction and irresponsible programming to the airwaves is not entertainment to me.
putting together a show like this is completely irresponsible. This is damgaging to the sport and ultimately puts my life at risk as more motorists will think that this is what motorcycling is all about and they may try to "teach me a lesson" when I am completely innocent.
most sportbike riders are safe and attentive when riding on the street. All of the guys that I ride with save the speed for the track where it belongs. I have seen many Harley riders spend all day drinking beer at a bar, then get on their bikes. To me, this is more dangerous than anything a sport bike rider can do. I will not support any advertisers of this show as long as we are portrayed this way.
because Motorcyclists have been with Speed since the Speedvision days. We continue to be marginalized by your programming and now we are being depicted as scofflaws and idiots by that same programming. Real motorcycling may not be flashy, but real motorcyclists don't want programs like this on the air.

I support this petition because I am one of many responsible sportbike riders that watch cable and I don't want the mistakes of a few to be broadcast as though they are the many.
I think Sportbike is a poor example of motorcyclest. As long as Speed TV broadcast this kind of garbage. I will be watching something else. I will not support any advertisers that air during the show. Speed get this garbage of the air.
because this show does in 30 minutes what the industry of motorcycling has been fighting for the last 30 years. It is not a "bad Boy" image sport anymore. People from all walks of life enjoy riding and doing so safely!

I tohught the show would be about Super Sport or FX racing, not clowns on wheels. Yeah, the clowns exist, people do stupid stuff, but why would SpeedTV be supportive of something detramental to the sport overall? Does SpeedTV have some sort of problem with mortorcycles? If so then stop showing motorcycles at all and go back to NapCar.

this show makes all sportbikers look like hooligans. I always ride responsibly on public roads, and go out of my way to portray a good image for ALL bikers. theis show, and it's content has outraged me. I believe that it is IRRESPONSIBLE to air a show like this.
Please depict motorcyclists in a manner that will promote future/aspiring riders to be responsible riders, not stunters or squids, who may ultimately be seriously injured or killed.

I support this petition because for over 25 years of riding, myself, and my riding partners have worked very hard to portray our sport in a positive manner. Encouraging new riders to learn what we really do, and the how's and why it's so enjoyable. Having seen the show, I cannot believe SpeedTV can even begin to think this show is a positive representation of Sport bike riding is all about. SpeedTV should be very very ashamed of itself.
Squidfest 2006... make it enjoyable, informative and for Christs sake, teach safety... not idiocy. Impress me by placing Motorcycle awareness commercials on the air (in every state) like every other country on the planet. Create a more positive image about motorcycles and their "responsible" owners rather than some 22 year old "squid" with 6 months experience riding beyond his/her means.
This show is trying to portray itself as cool to a very young market (which it may be doing) while teaching them that hooliganism is ok. Wait until the first lawsuit hits you where the angry parents of a dead 20 year old, hold you responsible because your show is where he saw a particular stunt...

The negative depiction of just about every genre of motorcycle on this show is irresponsible. I don't care if you want to make a "reality" show about idiot bikers but please give us a program that motorcyclists can enjoy. A TV version of Cycle World or another reputable magazine would better represent our interests than the glorification of foolish people who ride motorcycles. Greg's Garage was a much better program even with it's flaws.

I liked 2-wheel tuesday. Even tho greg white was a bit of a tool he was an expert level club racer and they did the program in a news format with pieces about charity rides, manufactures, product development, AMA and all sorts of other stuff that was positive for us. I saw the frst episode of superbikes and was just like, what is this crap? I produced cable news in college and broadcasted to about 300,00 homes in the north jersey area. I could produce a better show than Superbikes in my sleep. What garbage.
