Also, given that there is lots of racing around the world that you aren't covering, you need to drop a few of the 'drama shows'. There's World Superstock 600 & 1000, British Superbike, Isle of Man TT and tons of other 4 wheel racing out there that lots of people would much rather watch or record for later than a fourth repeat of 'Pinks' in any given week.
because stunting on public streets and going to bars for a drink then hitting the road on a motorcycle is not how I want our sport portrayed on TV to the general public.
because too many young riders may try to emulate such irresponsible behavior on the street such as is depicted in this episode. They end up either in serious trouble or seriously injured. Speed can do way better than this kind of junk.
in response to its first airing. The most pitiful attempt to reel in viewers that are 15 to 18 years old. I can tell you, speed missed the demographics by a mile. As a result, I am sure ratings will go down and sponsers will pull their ads. Put something useful on and do not insult the intelligence of sport riders who will abandon your network for good. I am sure that as a result of your show some kid who is new to the street viewed the idiotic show and will try the same stunts on public roads. I hope you guys are smart enough to realize the result of such stunts. When the death, dismemberment etc, occurs the liability should and will fall on speed. I suggest you get your people on sportbike forums and see what the nation and the world is interested in when it comes to bikes today.
all this show shows is sportbikers doing Illegal stunts and gives the cagers who already dislike me because I ride on 2 wheels even more reason to hate me.
I have to commute in traffic everyday on my bike with people that dislike me just for 2 wheels, this show wont help ANY.
The show depicts motorcyclists as all having a complete disregard for others on the road. The last thing we need is to further encourage these stereotypical biker images. It is also irresponsible to state that the show is filmed in closed areas, then to show tricks being performed on city streets.
I support this petition because this is complete nonsense. You could say or show the same thing about anything...a car, a boat, a plane, anything. You show only the ireesponsible end. It is hard enough for riders to get respect and to be left alone.
unless they begin to show sportbikes & sportbikers in a better light. Wearing full leathers and helmets. Show trackday footage of "everyday joe's" having fun at the track.... talking about being safe and wearing gear! Show "Responsible" SuperBike riders, waving at kids as they ride by. We all know how we ride, we have our stunters with DVD's for US to buy. Speed is showing the world our sport, please represent the "good" of us, help us all out!!
Because its a poor representation of the sport bike community. This show is basically screaming out to all riders to go out and stunt on the streets when in fact it is illegal to stunt on public streets. 2 Wheel Tuesday was way better and more informative.
because this show is an irresponsible representation of motorcyclists, sportbikes and superbikes are based on the sport of racing around road course and not popping wheelies in traffic, get a clue and leave this ridiculous crap on MTV.
I support the Petition. This show makes it see like this is what ALL sportbike riders do. People already see bikers like this doing this stuff all over the country and gettin ginjured or killed.. Why don't you show the positive on sportbikes. Take your cameras to any NorthEast SportBike Association (NESBA) event and you'll see fast and controled riders on a closed course trying to LEARN how to ride their bikes faster and SAFER in a controled environment. Thanks
there are people who ride and people who ride stupid.......and there are 2 kinds of shows....shows that rock and shows that are stupid...AND GUESS WHICH ONE YOURS IS!? @$$holes
I support this petition because motorcyclist already have enough bad publicity and we do not need a TV show to make it worse. I live in South Carolina and so far this year we've had more motorcycle fatalities than any other year. The majority of the accidents show the rider with out a helmet and or has been drinking. So a TV Show of law breakers / and stunt riders on the middle of the street just adds fuel to the fire.
