because this show highlights dangerous and illegal motorcycling activity as the biking community norm. That certainly isn't accurate and impunes the entire population of superbike owners.
This show portrays the sportbike riding community in a bad way. It's bad enough to deal with the public opinion of sportbikes as it is, then SPEED makes a show about the BOTTOM barrel of the sportbike world. If you MUST air that kind of content, show it in a safe and positive way, such as LEGAL competition, track days, etc. I am TRULY dispointed.
The television show, while trying to bring to the surface what many people know to be a harmless activity, actually helps perpetuate a negative image of motorcyclists as irresponsible and unsafe motorists.
While this may be true for a select few individuals, (ie, the inexperienced thrill-seekers) it does not hold for the majority of sportbike riders. Please focus more on the responsible aspects of riding versus the reckless apsects.
This ignorant attemp to show 'super bikes' supposedly in action... actually is a bunch of squids, and unruly want to be riders. Isn't it time to put the light on the people that ride responceably, sport tour= etc etc...
This is a moronic attempt of making the underground biker scene cool - it's offensive to stunters, regular bikers, and cagers... totally staged and idiotic... plus it's just a big ad for ICON clothing.
A show based on superbikes (great rides, track days, gear, advanced rising skills) would be great - but this is an abomination
Your new show is horrible your supporting the aspect of sportbikes that gives the sport a bad reputation...sport bikes are designed and engineered to be raced, and racing means you wear all the necessary gear that protects you...your new show is a mockery of street riders everywhere and helps add to the already horrible perception of motorcycle riders everywhere
you guys have ruined Speedvision already with the worthless programming, now you're actively participating in damaging the reputation of responsible motorcyclists. great!
this show seems totally out-of-character with other programs on Speed. I suggest you ask the folks at AMA and MotoGP what they think of it. Not much, I'd bet.
I support this petition because I fully support this petition and think SUPERBIKESshould be dropped and replaced with something morealong the lines of the ORIGINAL Two Wheel Tuesday.Anything is better than this Superbikes garbage.
because this show does NOT represent what sportbikes or 'superbikes' are about. It totally undermines the positive image that many of us have worked hard to earn and only highlights the negative generate by a very small audience.
Because not all of us sportbike riders are reckless or in biker gangs! It is hard enough to get taken seriously as a female rider. But with shows like this is will be near impossible!
TWT is gone? For this? I dont mind watching it, but it shouldn't be something broadcasted to the general public, false generalizations are going to come toward all sport riders from this...
media should not promote illegal activity that can cause harm to innocent people. Why don't you just show more about Superbike racing, the way it should be?
SUPERBIKES gives the sportbike community a negative depiction. I dont want my insurance going up because of dumbf*%ks that ride wreckless. thanks for trying to get more media coverage for sportbikes, but NO THANKS to superbikes.
The coverage of motorcycle enthusiasts events could be so much better...but emphasizing poor social behavior and using the Media to promote it is not good for your program or the Sportbike enthusiasts that use their bikes for recreation in a responsible manner.Drop the squids and spotlight more positive riders...
This show is horrible for all motorcyclists that actually respect the road and other people on it. These people should be arrested not glorified in a TV show. Can it!!!
There are better aspects to sport bike's then what you have shown in the Superbikes program. The 1st airing of the show made me not to EVER watch it again..... and I had DVR'ed it.
everyone that was featured in your show are the laughing stock of the true sportbike community. The title is very misleading, I didn't see anything that pertained to "Superbikes" in your first show.
This show is a terrible example for today’s youth and it ruins the reputation for the sport bike community. In addition to that the dialog of the show is just as stupid as the things they are doing on public streets. More race footage, and stunting is fine also if it is showed in a controlled environment. Whats next drunkin street racing??
