Anyone watching this show would assume that all sportbike riders are of this low calibre. Please discourage the morons of society by discontinuing this atrocity immediately.
You guys are hurting the sportbike community more than you are helping with this show. Unless you guys think that sportbike riders are all stunters and this is all we want to see, do a little bit of research and get a clue.
the show is rediculous and shows all sport riders in the light you want to cast us. we are not hellions or irresponsible riders doing dangerous acts. those on your show are a small percentage of a large group of responsible riders.
it is the most rediculous thing i have seen since the movie torque.
the show does not represent the majority of motorcycle owners in general and the sportbike community in particular. It glamorizes irresponsible stunting on public roads with total disregard to public safety. If you are going to show stunts, at least do it in a controlled environment, NOT THE STREETS. The message that the show sends is VERY destructive to the public image of our sport.
I got 6 tickets with my car before I got a "superbike" and haven't gotten a ticket since. Proof that you can ride responsibly. I support this petition.
Instead of given negative light on stunters. why don't you take this air time and dedicate it to more motorcycle racing. or bring back sportbike rider tv.
The last thing we need is a tv show which encourages more stupid behavior like this. Any true sport rider understands the responsiblity that comes with motorcycling and this show totally denigrates that by showing people who have no regard at all for it.
I ride a sportbike to stay practical while minimizing my support to big-oil and insurance companies, avoid traffic and parking hassles in the city, breathe fresh air, and handle backcountry roads with a huge smile on my face.
I don't ride to take stupid risks or put my life or other people's lives in danger.
I think 95% of other sportriders would agree.
This show does not represent the true sportbike/motorcycling community. Why put a show on that depicts motorcyclists as thugs? What were you thinking! This show was far worse than Gregs garrage ever was.
This show was a complete joke! It displayed the type of irresponsible riding stereotype that we've been trying to get away from for years. Thanks for nothing Speedchannel!!!
At a minimum, balance the show with positive superbike material. Tech tips, interviews with road race pro's, even a ride-along with some of the sportbike groups. Build it and they will come!
I'd like to watch races or at least racing highlights on Tuesday nights. On some type of program I can enjoy with my kids. Why on earth would SpeedTV choose to glorify such irresponsible and squidish behavior on motorcycles? It is totally classless and pathetic.
More trash from Speed. They should show at least as much respect for motocyclists as they do to NASCAR fans,,,,what garbage! Speed must be running low on NASCAR viewers and need to boost ratings with yet another show degrading motorcyclists.
because all the show consist of is pop culture fringe biker thugs. You want a show that's successful? Present a show that appeals to the sport bike masses. A show for real motorcycle enthusiast that value the ability to take a high speed curve over that of wheelie. A show for mature sport bike riders. Not one that glorifies freakish tattoed punks and appeals to 13 year olds.
This show just set back biking 10 years. The Rat crew at the end of the show portrayed bikers as low life slugs that have nothing better to do that beat each other up. The rest of show new riders that it was ok to wheelie and put other peoples life in risk with stupidity.
I'll admit that I enjoy watching stunting shows as live entertainment while I'm at the track or a convention show. The key is that this entertainment is secondary to what draws me to that type of venue in the first place. My primary interest in motorcycles -- besides riding them and enjoying all of the advantages they have over four-wheel transportation -- is to watch motorcycles (and other motorcyclists) compete at the highest levels of their sport, see the newest technology that the manufacturers (and aftermarket suppliers) have to offer, and learn how to maintain and repair my own motorcycle. This type of programming would be useful and meaningful. If you want to keep Superbikes on the air, please don't do it at the expense of shows that provide insight, intelligence and respect in regards to the sport of motorcycling and the people who consider it much more than just a way to get from points 'A' to 'B.'
That was a terrible format and horrible content. Please stop this show immediately-we don't need Speed TV to make Sportbikes look more dangerous and sportbike owners look like irresponsible idiots. Guys like the "street fighters" you featured do that all by themselves.
Outlaws, hooligans, rats, all jockying to get their 15 minutes of fame. With no redeeming qualities whatsoever, Speed is just whoring out the motorcycle community
in general, and showing nothing but disregard for the majority of responsible sportbike enthusiasts. When all is said and done, the lowest common denominator winds up being Speed..........
I support this petition because your show only reinforces the negative stereotypes of sportbike riders. The people you portray represent a small (albeit highly visible) minority of the sportbiking community. It's not much different than if you had a show portraying every African-American as an inner city gangbanger, or every southerner as a rascist Klansman. Makes for an interesting show, but it only perpetuates hostility in the community.
Squids, is that what you want people to think of us? That show does not represent the sportbike community. Take that stupid show off the air, Greg's garage was much better than that crap.
You have taken a major step backwards. You moved from responsible and informative programming that forwarded the interest of the sportbike community to programming that at best proves ALL the nay sayers correct. No Good can come from this type of irresponsible programming. I would have thought that the powers that be would have been more sensible and more responsible. I am truly disappointed.
I feel the show continue to give us RESPONSABLE sport bike riders a bad reputation. THe vast majority of us ride in a responsable manner as opposed to being a publlic nusesnce. The format should support leagle riding and track days for whne you want to ride in excess. The current crop of sport bikes be it a 600 or liter bike are very powerfull machines and must respected. With the large number of very young enexperianced riders bying them now the need to develope good riding skills needs to be reinforced not the attitude your a fast bike and can get away with whatever you want.
because the "Super Bikes!" show is evil, it completely sucked, it is not representative of sport bike riders, and it will have a very negative impact on the sport.
