I fully support this petition. Our troops are doing their best and deserve to be treated with more respect and support. So does our President. He has been the only one to stand his ground and stand up for what he believes in regaurdless of whether or not it makes him popular. He made us a promise as he stood on the rubble on September 11,2001. He has kept that promise. God bless him for it and our troops for their hard work and devotion to ridding us of terrorism. It amazes me just how many uninformed idiots are out there that feel the way some of these people on here do. I take extreme offense to their comments. Several members of my family have fought in several wars, including this one, to give you people the right to free speech, but you do not have to abuse that right by biting the hand that feeds you! Instead these people insist on being on the terrorists side. It's a shame and really stupid cause they would kill you in a heartbeat! These people either have forgotten what happened on September 11,2001 or they seem to support the events of that horrible day. How very unamerican!!!!

Why is it that our soldiers are over in Iraq fighting for that countries’ sovereignty while there are 5000 plus or minus able-bodied Iraqis right here in Michigan letting our people die for their country?

Bring the troops back home and do a SWEEP ACROSS AMERICA to clean up the terrorist cells that our government knows of, and then PROTECT OUR BORDERS. If it comes down to it, “WE THE PEOPLE” will take up arms along side the military to protect our land.

What Americans need is a personal responsibility to find their own truths. Sole reliance on the media, you see, is a positive indicator of ignorance.
True...common American citizens have not traveled to Iraq. Neither have media reporters covered ALL of Iraq.
One must determine both the positive and negative aspects of this war, and accordingly apply reason to form conclusions.
Because of what our America is (truly the land of the free, relatively speaking; also, a world leader in technology, medicine, standard of life...etc),
combined with a lack of well-reasoned opposition,
encourages me to support the war.
The war on terror is a sham, and this petition is less than useless. And I mean that literally. If this petition was useless, it would do no good or bad. But this is actually less than useless, so while it does no good, it also wastes all of your valuable time, so its less than useless.
I've talked to guys that have just come back from the front lines. There's so much postive stuff the media overlooks, like the fact that over 1000 schools were fixed or started in Baghdad. The media sucks.
They have the right to defend themselves. They are the ones putting their lives on the line. They every to kill someone who tries to kill them. Its self defence.
These men and women are out on the front lines everyday to ensure that nothing like what happened on September 11 will ever happen again. They are above you and above me. To insult their names like this is to spit on the very idea of liberty. And to use the faces of those who have died in the war to further your political agendas is unacceptable.
I see that some of these people think that the war is wrong. i think that it is a good cause and should be continued. not nearly as many troops have died in these few years as did in the first few years of WWII and other wars that the US has taken part in, so it is not that bad, and besides, why wouldn't anybody want to kill out terrorism?
i may not support the war but by god i will not have anyone denouncing the soldiers, airmen, sailor, coast guard, or marines. who fight for their lives as well as for the people of this country. this goes for all nations too no matter what country you're in if you do not support you troops who will fight in your stead.
