Robert Osborne has been the host of Turner Classic Movies since time immemorial. Even the most unworthy of the “classics” presented on TCM are brought to life through Osborne’s impressive knowledge of film history and stylish presentation.

Described by some as “elegant and unassuming” and by others as “dashing and debonair”, Osborne is a man who clearly recognizes the value of a well tailored suit; and viewers no doubt appreciate this facet of his persona.

In today’s world of mass-media driven, youth-oriented pop culture, we feel that, in order for Mr. Osborne’s image to remain fresh in the public mind, a name change might be in order for the illustrious TCM host. With this in mind, the petition here, having the utmost respect for Mr. Osborne and his work, requests that the TCM host adopt the name TCM Fats. Yes, *TCM Fats*. We feel that such a name will better enable the staid Osborne to connect with the young up and coming generation of the short-attention-span variety. This, in turn, will help ensure that TCM’s quality programming continue forward as a vibrant part the entertainment world’s rich tapestry.
