because someone needs to take and stand and get the retail stores to recognize the fact that not all teens find these shirts funny, nor do their parents. I have seen these types of shirts; they are rude and demeaning and they are full of offensive, disrespectful and vulgar language. There is nothing funny about underage drinking or teen sex and to promote these ideas on t-shirts is despicable; the stores should be ashamed of themselves. I am proud of these kids who stand up against corporate America in an effort to make them more responsible for what they put in stores. Everyone should appreciate the fact that these kids are trying to make a difference!

I am a teacher and I see students attempt to wear such items. My school will not allow them and parents should not allow it either. After all...who is the parent and who is the child???
#38

Samantha Goode said 11/07/06, 1:30 am (verified)
I believe that teenagers should not be the target of these. I don't do drugs, alcohol, or have sex; therefore, I don't want shirts that have anything to do with them.
#37

Mallory Hamilton said 11/07/06, 1:08 am (verified)
things like this are giving our youth the perception that it's the "norm" and wearing these t-shirts is "okay." But it's really not, and it's going to take students/teens to support the cause and to do something about it. Keep up the amazing work, everyone!

It's not right that companies like Hollister Co. stereotype everyone in our age class. Not everyone is the same. Most of my friends DON'T go out on weekends and party and drink and have sex all weekend. I'm tired of the fact that adults see us the same way, and we are only making it worse by wearing this kind of clothing. Break the Stereotype.
