darkness you rock. I'm sick of people like #2 saying that everyone who doesn't like gay people is afraid of them. I also don't understand how anyone can think gay people were born that way. It can't be genetic. There's no way a gay gene would have even developed in the first place because it does nothing to help human reproduction. Not to mention the fact that even if a gay gene had developed and managed to spread to a significant number of people, there's no way it would have survived, because the only people passing it on would have been gay people pretending to be straight, which wouldn't have been enough people to keep the gay gene going all these years. I've heard people compare a 'gay gene' to sickle cell syndrome, because neither one would appear to be a 'good' gene for human survival, but yet sickle cell syndrome is genetic. The difference is, having sickle cell syndrome doesn't affect your health as much if you only have one copy of the gene. If you have only one copy, the disease protects your body from malaria, which is the reason why the gene developed in Africa and has survived, because of their high malaria rates. I've heard other people say that a gay gene is nature's way of controlling overpopulation. The only problem with that theory is that gay people exist in places where the effects of overpopulation haven't been felt yet. i support this petition.
