14 Jun 2005 - 1:59    Jimmy Dwyer : In the interest of Justice and the creditability of our wonderful Fancy, I, along with many others, urge and petion AKC to reconsider their decision not to aggressivly address Ms. Hedlund's wrongful actions. Please, follow the Court's recomendation and suspend this disgraceful person's privilages, forthwith.
14 Jun 2005 - 2:06    Kathy Parker : Stealing is a crime, Grand Theft is a serious crime. So Is AKC condoning crime now? Suspend this woman for the crimes she has commited.
14 Jun 2005 - 2:13    Sheryl Garduno : I think that when our legal system can even recognize this woman's actions as illegal, what is wrong with the AKC???
14 Jun 2005 - 2:18    Jackie Bowen : AKC has always been reputable. Please remain so. We look to AKC to uphold the rights of those who have victimized. The A in AKC stands for American! Theft is not only illegal and punishable by law in America, but is not going to be tolerated.
14 Jun 2005 - 2:59    Catherine Crislip :
14 Jun 2005 - 3:06    Stacy Hart : I think AKC should not allow this woman to remain in the club knowing that she commited these crimes, because if they allow this, what is next? And remember your first decision on a matter influences further decisions. If we allow people who go around stealing our dogs to remain in our club, it is like we are saying it is ok to let them steal the dogs. And to neuter a Champion? Do you want to keep the bloodlines by the standard or allow anything as long as they have the money to buy papers?
14 Jun 2005 - 3:09    Hope Sylvain : Unbelievable. This is so obviously against the interest of purebred dogs that the AKS says they support.
14 Jun 2005 - 3:16    Liz Kaunzner : This is outrageous!!! I have heard of cases were the AKC fined and suspended people for things a lot less worse than something like this. I have always felt safe with my dogs at a dog show, thinking that no one would do something like steal my dog from me. I sure won't feel safe anymore. And especially knowing the AKC won't do anything about this!!!!!!!!
14 Jun 2005 - 3:22    Lily Russell :
14 Jun 2005 - 3:25    Clare Braden : This is NOT the "Sport" of dog showing.
14 Jun 2005 - 3:36    Claudia Klikoff : I am apalled that this action has not been sanctioned by a lifetime suspension of this felow participant in the sport of dogs. Other have been given long suspensions for a less grievous offense. The AKC should follow the court's recommendation since this action seriously threatens the Sport of Dog and Dog owners.
14 Jun 2005 - 3:59    M Stout : How can you not suspend her?
14 Jun 2005 - 4:16    Nancy L. Schefcick :
14 Jun 2005 - 4:30    helen Gleason :
14 Jun 2005 - 4:32    Virlen K. Norgard : I was stunned to learn that AKC continues the membership of an individual, who represents AKC as a breeder, that stole and sterilized a fellow breeders pet/stud dog. By not suspending or perminent revoking her membership you are sending the message that this is acceptable behavior.
14 Jun 2005 - 5:04    malena smither : this is totally unethical and illegal--can't understand your decision--theft (a crime) and illegal neutering (unethical)
14 Jun 2005 - 6:12    Rod Sweitzer :
14 Jun 2005 - 6:24    Curtiss Smith : Hedlund should be banned from AKC forever for committing this crime
14 Jun 2005 - 6:35    Dyl Osborn :
14 Jun 2005 - 6:35    Kim Jennings : Who does she know that she gets these special privileges?
14 Jun 2005 - 6:37    Willow Osborn :
14 Jun 2005 - 6:38    Carla M. Shugg : Why do you have rules and regulations in place if they are not intended to be binding and enforced? The actions of Ms. Hedlund have gone past allegations. She has been found guilty in a court of law for actions which violate her agreement with the AKC to abide by the rules and regulations necessary to be a member in good standing. Permanent suspension/revocation is appropriate.
14 Jun 2005 - 6:45    Diane L. Finch :
14 Jun 2005 - 7:12    Deborah Davis :
14 Jun 2005 - 7:24    jane rowley : AKC's inaction for this behavior is outrageous.
14 Jun 2005 - 7:38    Randie J. Blumhagen :
14 Jun 2005 - 8:01    Richard Campbell :
14 Jun 2005 - 8:12    Paula Perry :
14 Jun 2005 - 8:42    Odalys Hayes : I have always though that AKC was there to protect our DOGS. Thank GOD that at least our court system reconized that steling/neutering the dog was wrong but AKC can NOT see it that way. What is going to be next KILLING our dogs. IT hapen to me years ago, it was a radical way to get rid of the competition. At least in this case the dog was alive, I didn't have that luxury. I think AKC should take a harder look at this case and this person should be suspended.
14 Jun 2005 - 9:06    Grace Acosta :
14 Jun 2005 - 9:18    Tony Frattarelli :
14 Jun 2005 - 9:23    Surely Rawlings :
14 Jun 2005 - 9:24    Jane Dyar : Others have been suspended for far less indeed, and if the AKC is to "set standards" the actions taken here must be followed through and not tolerated. This was a huge violation of everything held dear; protecting breeds, this breed, in fact this dogs line - which is now unable to continue as should this persons involvement with AKC.
14 Jun 2005 - 9:35    Celia Trimble Boone : This is unconscionable--just as AKC allowing puppy mills to register dogs is unconscionable. Please note: under AKC rules, if she had used neuticles on the dog she'd stolen and neutered, she'd be suspended. AKC has suspended people for years for banding teeth to correct bites, using neuticles, etc. on their OWN dogs--but stealing another's dog and wrongfully altering the dog is something that AKC will countenance??
14 Jun 2005 - 9:38    Winnie Reed : This should not happen. This person should get everyting the law can do to protect the public frrm such a person. The AKC needs to look at this again.
14 Jun 2005 - 10:21    Luis Rodriguez :
14 Jun 2005 - 10:21    Claire Nogss :
14 Jun 2005 - 12:14    Vicki Dovellos :
14 Jun 2005 - 13:20    Elaine M Lake : This is not someone I would like to set up next to at a show. One in fear for my dogs, because I have had one poisoned at a show to get it out of compatition. And I wouldn't want to associate with someone like this, they don't deserve a Good Morning
14 Jun 2005 - 18:15    Amy Ebling :
14 Jun 2005 - 18:30    Patricia Fisher :
14 Jun 2005 - 19:50    Jane Hoover :
14 Jun 2005 - 19:58    Vicki Allenbrand :
14 Jun 2005 - 19:58    Brooke Stern :
14 Jun 2005 - 20:18    Neil Neideck :
14 Jun 2005 - 20:20    Diana Durrance : I am amazed that the AKC can let this unconscionable go unpunished. They have suspended individuals for far less in the past!
14 Jun 2005 - 20:25    Maxine J. Gurin : Can anyone shed some light on what motivated this thief to steal the dog in the first place? Did she co-own it or breed it?
14 Jun 2005 - 20:44    Julia Anthony :
14 Jun 2005 - 20:50    Nancy Groff :
14 Jun 2005 - 20:52    Sandy Beaudoin : AKC's non-sanction of this woman is ludicrous. It flies in the face of all reason.
