David Cook will be touring the US soon after his inaugural concert in the Philippines in January 2009. We would like to request to those who produce and manage David’s solo tour that To Have Heroes be the opening act for these upcoming shows.
To Have Heroes is a “collaboration project” conceived and executed by Andy Skib, the front man and vocal for a hard/alternative rock band MWK that has been well known in the indie music scene. Using this “project” as a framework, Andy has collaborated with musician friends around the country to produce an entirely new sound rather different from MWK.
The new guitarist for David Cook’s band, Neal Tiemann, was the founding member of MWK. David Cook was also a member of MWK while he was in Tulsa. Andy, Neal, and David have maintained their friendship, musical and otherwise, throughout the events of last several months.
Many of us were first introduced to the awesome music of To Have Heroes by first becoming David Cook fans and then decided to further explore David’s musical roots. We have pushed To Have Heroes debut EP to reach the top 2 spot at CD Baby indie CD sales chart during the week it was released.
We believe that To Have Heroes is a perfect opening act for David Cook solo concerts because of their musical ties as well as the synergy among fans of both artists. Please consider signing this petition if you agree with us. Thank you.
