We, the undersigned, hereby request that Microsoft include Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise in the next MAPS refresh (or an intermediate release) so that we can better learn, deploy and test the Server applications included in the existing Action Pack to provide a better service to our clients.

W2K3R2Ent will allow us to make use of virtualization technologies encouraged by the expanded usage rights in W2K3R2Ent allowing for the installation of a single host instance plus up to 4 additional virtual guest instances on the one machine.

In doing this, Microsoft will gain a more skilled Partner base who will be better able to sell and support Microsoft products to their current and future clients.

Absolutely agree with adding W2K3 Server R2 Ent to MAPS

Omitting the Ent. Edition of Server 2003 R2 was a big mistake. There is no possible way we can take adviantage of all the server products offered without it.

This is definately a technology that will benefit us greatly by being able to become familiar with it, and then promote it widely in the marketplace. Come to the ball game Microsoft.

this is obsurd, with out Server in the action pack no-one will know the product, if no-one knows the product no-one supports it, It's like giving microsofts competitors the market on a silver platter!

MAPS should include this as it is VERY relevant to how we can increase our knowledge of the entire MS Server product line

Including this product in MAPS is essential in developing QA procedures and proper SOEs

Allowing this version of Enterprise Server to be available to MAPS subscribers would allow us to test build all packages that are included in the pack via virtualization. We are small businesses that do not have access to more than one or two boxes to test with, thereby making virtualization necessary.

For us to recommend the use of, and effectively support, a product, we should have ease of access to it.

Many technologies in the MAPs are not compatible with each other due to the limited licensing. With only one Windows 2003 Server license and all the other applications, we realistically need multiple servers to install, configure, test. We love the idea of selling clients Quad-Xeon beasts to consolidate the number of servers but we need to do it all ourselves first.

Would allow better testing of product which would mean more sales of products in the long term

If we are expected to sell and support this, then why are MS not including it in MAPS...

because it will allow us to sell more Microsoft products.
