We the undersigned are extremely disappointed that there was no announcement in the recent State Budget to Upgrade the 4th Floor Medical Wards at the Women’s & Children’s Hospital.
As you are aware these facilities at the W&CH are 29 years old and in a disgraceful state.
Yet, it is expected that they will absorb the increased patient load when the paediatric services at Modbury are transferred. Many families of very sick children have no alternative to using this specialised hospital.
We demand you commit the funds necessary to redevelop this area in the immediate future.
