My grandfather served 26 years as a WVSP. I was honored to have him as a grandfather and a trooper. He defies me being a trooper because of the BS he had to put up with.
There is definitely something wrong with this administration. I work with these troopers daily and you constantly hear them complaining of what they go through at work. Let's do what we can to try and make this right

Yeah they can do what ever they want!!! They can even come into a persons house with a search warrant even though it wasnt the right person name on the search warrant and harrass this person. In Mason County they can do what they want. Money Talks!!!!!

To Morris, Gilley, and now Cpl. Perry...Thanks. I wish you all well. My graduation day made me feel on top of the world. I had accomplished what I always wanted and made my wife (who went above and beyond her call of duty) as well as the rest of my family so very proud. Unfortunately, I knew the words being uttered by Gov. Manchin during the 55th graduation speech were just words. I could already see the storm on the horizon. I just didn't want to take away from the pride my family showed in me. The rest of my short career was absolutely miserable, unfair, and the perfect example of a hostile work environment. I should have done something about it then and I feel guilty that it took this tragic event to get us all to speak up. This site is good, but please keep firing at the WSAZ blog. It is far more visible to the public and speaks much louder. Sign both. I was so disheartened and torn down by South Charleston and the administration. I have been permanently scarred. My family suffered embarrassment and financial hardships. I stand no chance of ever being in law enforcement again. Now, for the real reason I am here... This was brought to Governor Manchin's attention. Last year when my husband was told to resign or he would be terminated. He was terminated. My husband and I discussed it with the Governor at the Huntington YMCA ribbon cutting ceremony last year and he took my husband's name and number, stated he would check into it and call us back. We never heard from him. Can he be trusted to check into this? I'm not so sure.
