It was his electrifying keynote address at the 2004 Democratic National Convention that put Barack Obama of Illinois on the national stage for the first time. Now, the junior senator is traveling nationwide to help campaign for
fellow Democrats before the midterm elections - and has a lot of people wondering if he's running for president in 2008.

We think he should!

By all count, twelve United States senators are considering a run for president in 2008: six Democrats (Evan Bayh, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Christopher Dodd, Russ Feingold, and John Kerry) and six Republicans (George Allen, Sam Brownback, Bill Frist, Chuck Hagel, John McCain, and Rick Santorum). For Biden, Kerry, and McCain it would be their second presidential campaign.

This is why Barack Obama must run for president in 2008.

Obama, you may remember, is the 45-year-old from Illinois elected to the Senate last year. He is the most promising politician in America, and eventually he is going to run for president. The case for running now is not that it is the perfect moment for him to run. It's not. It is just that it may be the best chance he will ever get.

Therefore:

We the people of the United States of America herby fully endorse a future candidacy of Senator Barack Obama of Illinois to be elected as the 44th President of the United States on November 4th, 2008.
