The name of the next generation console, the Nintendo Wii, is not good in any way, shape, or form. Nintendo aims to reach more people and make this system for everyone. This name however seems to alienate all people with the exception of small children. Anyone who is not a Nintendo fanboy and is considering buying this console will not want to buy this console due solely to the name. People will call it the WiiNES, which sounds very close to the male reproductive organ. The Nintendo Revolution would be a much better name for this console, but anything but the Nintendo Wii.

Wii is not a good name for any consol gaming system in the united states. Most of the gamers are male, younger boys who tend to be somewhat outcast, and don't want to be teased by their peers about playing with there "Wii". When I first heard Nintendo was calling their new system that, I thought it was a joke. I hope it still is.

I like the idea, but "Wii" is really a bad name. However, it might be a fake name that nintendo has come up with in order to attract attention, as several sources have indicated that That "nintendo wii" is currently NOT patented. Of course, there is always a chance that it IS the real name. At least "wiiing" will be the only english word with 3 consecutive letters...
