There are many good play-by-play anouncers in North America with a good understanding of the game who will work for cheap. Go to the World Soccer Weekly Radio Network for some reasonable options.

Not only do I support this petition, but I was thinking of creating one on my own. It is evident that the baseball announcer does not know anything about soccer after listening to his annoucing on the US v Poland game. He said "kicker it in there" 10 times and "defenses the ball". We should have an EPL announcer.

I support this petition. Please-for the love of all that's holy-put someone in the booth who lives, loves, and breathes the game, not some guy who does mostly baseball telecasts. This is an absolute insult to hear Wolves referred to as "Wolverhampton Wolves" and Celtic referred to as "Glasgow United". Please ESPN reconsider your announcers. Derek Rae and Tommy Smyth are good places to start.

Please reconsider your announcers for this year's World Cup and assign Tommy Smith & Derek Rae for atleast the U.S. Soccer matches. Davey O'brien is about the only polished announcer their is and he's not even a soccer guy from what we can tell. Please consider it and you will see the results in your ratings!
