100% support for this petition, but not for the Lucky Charm announcer. If ESPN wants to be a leader in sports then their coverage of the World's most popular game has to be presented by knowledgeable announcers. Pay someone with experience from the BBC or SKY. There is a reason John McEnroe is paid by the BBC during Wimbledon for his commentary; he is passionate about the game and knows what he is talking about. If ESPN can't be bothered then let the rights to the WC go to a sports channel that cares.

I think you need to rethink this baseball commentator deal for the world cup...how will the guy be able to handle 45 minutes of non stop action...he's only used to talking about a non event of a game where the ball is in play for about 5 seconds at a time. Go let him commentate on cricket.And we wonder why fitba is not taken seriously in this country. Next you'll be taking rugby, adding helmets and pads and calling it the toughest game in the world...american football don't make me laugh.....fannies.

Lets get the finger out here guys. People experienced can follow the game on and off the ball. They will be able to educate your viewers and maybe, just maybe get them to continue watching soccer. More viewers means better ratings (hint .. hint)
