Although wrestling is a popular sport in schools it comes at a price. I'm not saying I hate wrestling I just do not approve of the conditions and circumstances. My friend has joined the wrestling team and since then he hasn't been acting the same, he appears sickly and doesn't apply himself as much, he went from alot of fun to really boring. The main reason for this is that he was told to lose twenty pounds in a week and a half, so far he's lost nine by barely eating and constantly exercising. Why would someone encourage something with such drastic health issues, your body cannot handle losing that much weight in such as short time, not to mention lack of food and over exercising.

Aside from this wrestling also leads to kids becoming more aggressive, they focus less on school and more on the sport. My friend does not seem to be doing as well as he has, he doesn't look as well as he did before, he used to look filled out and average for his age, now he's disappearing before my eyes...
