I support this petition.
I am upset with the fact, that i have downloaded content and live arcade games to my xbox 360, it\'s an original, and i can\'t play the content at home...
I live in a trailer, to use live I have to load up my xbox and tv, and park myself outside of the public library to use their connection...
how hard is it to believe that there are some people out there who can\'t afford to have internet? but still want to use the downloadable content they downloaded on their profile...
I support this petition. and i feel very used and upset that a company such as microsoft cant issue a download to fix this stupid problem..........i might just invest in a ps3
I support this petition. Furthermore - I HIGHLY question the legality of Microsoft's action here. When you buy something, it is your property. Microsoft is basically putting a stipulation on their content, which means that the user does not have free and direct access to the items that they are buying. Microsoft needs to fix this or a class action lawsuit could be pending.
I support this petition. My 360 was replaced due to a red ring of death. Since that incident, I no longer have internet access at home. My downloadable content is now unusable. This is completely unacceptable and unfair.
In my country i cant find any microsoft points cards, so i bought them at the US, so i made a US account that i just use to download content,so later my console brokes with the RROD, and when exchange it on Best Buy, all my profiles, except the US one, couldn't play any of the arcade games, and my saved games like forza2 that used downloadable content couldn load because there were missing the files, this is not fair, I wont boy any downloadable content until they fix this, I shall better buy PS3.
I expect that if I give more money to Microsoft (i.e., another $400 for a new console since the first one broke after a year) that I should not be made to endure any additional restrictions to use what I lawfully and legally bought. If I am not distributing the content to other people, I have done nothing illegal, but Microsoft has since legally they are not \
My Xbox live ID is: MALICOUS ZERO.and i no long have access to the internet so i only discovered recently that all of my xbox live content has been locked from me!I honestly feel penalised for upgrading my xbox 360 to the xbox 360 elite. I dont understant how microsoft can do this just because someone wants to invest more money into one of there consoles!
I support your right to use DRM, however, it is far too restrictive to say that I can only move the games I purchased to the new XBOX I bought from you if I let you watch me play them from now on. I am sure you can fix this negative customer experience. Your cusotmers just want what they paid for - that shouldn't be too much to ask - I can't believe you have taken this long and haven't done anything to fix this problem.
I have had a similar problem, I like the authorization/deauthoriza tion idea. It is good for those of us that migrated to Elite, but kept their old console (what else are you gonna do with it?). Really, I am the only that uses my DLC and perhaps my little brother will on the Christmas holidays. I would like for him to be able to make his own gamertag on my xbox, instead of having to lug my 20GB hard drive and making him play on my gamertag. It's just a hassle, please let us use the stuff that we bought from you.
My original 360 broke down, requiring a return to the game store. I was planning on purchasing a new 360, but until this issue is taken care of, I won't be.
I got taken advantage of by Microsoft this time. I was specifically told after my console was replaced NOT repaired due to the ring of death, that I would simply have to re-download the content to access it again, not that I would always have to be logged into xbox live to play it, or that my two 220 hour Oblivion saves are now useless without being logged in due to the fact that it will not launch the saves unless I AM logged in. This problem needs to be solved, not pushed to the side by a greedy company that cares more about sales than offering something that works.
MS has really let me down. The console is great but the faults to it are even greater. How do they expect to have loyal customers when they seem to show no appreciation to use. I am having way too many problems with the Xbox 360 and I didn't pay all that money for this to happen
I bought this new hard drive thinking this would be an awesome new experience. I bought a lot of online videos, which filled up my hard drive really quick. And since I'm a college student, I can't guarantee I can get internet all the time! This totally ruins my plans of giving my console to my friend!
After having my console die I spent several weeks going back and forth with M$ about getting my content back. After finally getting it, I then upgraded to an Elite and am back in the same boat now. A better method needs to be found to make these transfers.
I want to use the content / games that I've purchased without restriction. If I buy a disc with that contentent / game on it I can do with it what I please, so why does mirosoft feel the need to screw us when we use the marketplace?
Rights Management is a touchy subject, and I understand it's hard to keep everyone happy. But really, there should be some way to tie downloaded content to a new serial # and remove the reference to the old one. That way only one box can have offline access at a time, and everyone can be happy.
I want an Elite, mainly for the new hard drive and was going to sell my Premium, but I won't unless I can access my stuff offline. I come to my parents house during the summer and they don't have the internet. Also, at school, the internet is quirky, and not worth chancing. Change this policy and you get more money out of me. If not, you don't.
I bought the dang elite and i HATE it and its DRM. I lost all my content in transfer. i was so angry i dropped it out of my 2nd floor house and watched it break. Its now on ebay for dirt cheap and in pieces. Grow up microsoft
MS's implementation of DRM is poor and very inconsiderate of the CUSTOMER. They should take a lesson from Apple in their implementation of DRM with iTunes.
Microsoft, I will never buy downloadable content from XBL Marketplace again until you enable full offline access to the games, expansions, themes I've already purchased on my old hard drive.
I have had the Red lights of death 3 seperate times, each time I have recieved a new console and must sign in to play my Arcade Games and DLC. It is beyond a pain considering my roomates like to get on the internet while I am playing my arcade games and we don't have a router.
This petition is a very good idea, however, there is already one in place that has been collecting signatures for 4 months. This issue is not new with the Elite, it has been going on for over 16 months. The following petition has over 550 sigs at this time. It would be better to consolidate the signatures at www.petitiononline.com/fi xxblmAnyone else following this sig, please post the link as above so people will get the message.
I've had this problem ever since my original xBox broke, it's a total crock, they'll fix your box but make no efforts to address the problems that their dodgey hardware have caused
Well shit...ive already downloaded knights of the nine AND shivering isles. I want to buy the new xbox elite system...but if im gonna lose my content...well thats a big deterrent, even if it does hook right up to my hdmi port
NO content that is purchased should ever be restricted! EVER! If I buy it, it's mine end of story.Classic example of a few bad apples ruining it for the rest of us.
There has to be a simpler way to protect your content from illegal duplication while at the same time affording the oringinal buyer of content 100% access. You gotta fix it!
