I support stem cell research and abortion, but not for the same reasons the petitioner does. Abortion is for those who have been intelligent about sex but are the unlucky few who got pregnant in spite of using the pill and condoms. Abortion isn't a right to free love without protection, and anyone who says that has never had to go though a loved one getting an abortion. As far as stem cells go, religion has no place in science. Regardless of the existence of a god, a possible viable treatment for lots of congenetial diseases is right in front of us, and it would be murder to not take advantage of that treatment. So, don't have sex unless you're smart about it, don't get an abortion without thinking it through, and don't complain about stem cells since it would be murder to not take advantage of the technology.

Hello, I am 30, and have recently got married, me and my new husband had been trying for one year to have a child of our own. As this had no effect on me we went to consult a doctor, i was already in hysterics by this time and had fainted over 7 times. The doctor told us that i was infertile due to a previous ABORTION in my early 20's. That was the end of my marriage and i have now been diagnosed with clinical depression.
