Yahoo's word varification system provides no convenient alternatives for its visually impaired users. We are asked to provide our phone numbers, only to be called and asked if we have sighted assistants. We Email and get responses that say, "We'll consider your complaint." and nothing more.
Stop the discrimination. Provide convenient alternatives.

The cost of making changes for web site accessibillity are minimal. Causing blind people to give out their phone numbers is totally unncessary and discriminatory and at the least, an invasion of privacy. Com on, Yahoo and get into the 21st century. Your practices are disgusting and unfair.

I am studying to be an interpreter. Yahoo's group called the blind interpreter's list is inaccessible to me unless I contact the moderator to have him invite me. I found out about it at 02:00 one morning as I checked email. He wasn't awake. If Yahoo had a way to kill the spam while allowing me access, I would be on the list today but I'm not and I refuse to join until it is cleared up. I pray that this cause me no loss of work.
