This is beyond ridiculous! I have followed this horror story from the
first. Wolves are not the problem! Humans are! Wolves were not
responsible for the decline in the big game animals human hunters wanted to
kill themselves in that area, so they go elsewhere to find some to
shoot>! This should be brought to the attention of many more people via
mainstream media so that they ca see what a farce this was in the first
place. But the first thing that needs to happen is to STOP KILLING THE
WOLVES!!! |
| 311 |
Virgil Butler 2005-08-03 17:27:11 |
The original reason behind the decision to kill these wolves was that they
were so numerous that they were competing with hunters for big game. When
they found out that there were no wolves in the area, they just expand the
area to find wolves to kill? This is so very wrong on so many levels and
for so many reasons. STOP IT!!! |

Wolves are not only an inticate crucial part of ecosystems, but are also
sentient beings whos have a right to live in peace. |

appreciation for the natural beauty and wildness of their state. But
apparently not. |

this is sooo wrong! It does not make any sense to me. Peolple kill wolves
so there are more caribou for humans to kill? Explain this to me. |
| 322 |
Laura 2005-08-03 05:35:50 |
This is absolutely unexcusable to track down animals knowing they will no
place to hide. Wolves help keep the Caribo population healthy, if we kill
off all the wolves we will only allow diease to grow, in addition, just as
when there are too many deers, there will be too many Caribo and we will
eventually have to kill them off. When will this end! |

Aerial shooting is for cowards with too much pride and money, but no guts.
And a pandering Murkowski, who should stop toting conservation as the
abysmal excuse for this senselss slaughter of wolves. If wolves are that
over-abundant, why did the murder area have to be expanded? Clearly,
it's just to give the killers better odds of actually shooting a
wolf, despite their rarity. The aerial killing is a sham and a taint on
both the government of Alaska and the United States. Stop it immeidately! |

wolves and other animals have a system of hunting and population control in
environemtnts, they also control dead waste and disease, leave all the
animals alone, darn it, they were doing fine before we messed up the earths
systems and natures. |
