As a lifelong New Yorker, I've noticed that it's these small quality of life issues that are rapidly disappearing...off-leash hours would help enforce a sense of real community throughout our city -- as well as supporting the important bonds between dogs and their owners.

I support off-leash hours in the parks. Allowing owners and their pets time to spend off leash thereby allowing a better standard of living for our pets and ourselves. The park is a place that people go and people share the space, it is only fair we share that space with the companions that make our lives better. We should return the favor, if even for only a few short hours a day.
I support off-leash hours in parks and feel it creates a safer environment for people during these off-hours. That being said, the minority of irresponsible dog owners should be held accountable for their dogs' bad behavior.
The off leash hours at the parks help keep crime down an is an excellent way of socializing dogs. I know many people who do not have dogs who come to the park to learn more about dogs before they go into adopting.
I support the off leash policy and want to see it codified.
This off leash privledge has been working very well for 20 years and is of great benifit to park safety as well as to the dog owners and the dogs themselves.
Enjoying Prospect Park and Flushing Meadows Park with my pup and friend's dogs during off leash hours is a priveledge that I have enjoyed for over a decade. This is a quality of life issue that must become a right for NY'ers.
Walking my dog in Prospect Park has been part of my life as a resident of Bklyn for over 24 years. Dog owners regulate each other, train each other is responsibility. The dog community is one reason Bklyn has become a good place to live and raise a family. Please support this vital part of urban life.
