I'll admit, american idol was alright at first. A new kind of show. But after about 3 episodes I couldn't stand it. Every episode is the same! "Who will be sent home!?!?!? Will it be Joe Smith, you sang the same song that everyone else did and the song that everyone has been sick of since 1995. Simon said "It stinks". The other judges smiled and said "it was nice". Or will one of the other contestants be sent home? Jane McBoring, you sand the same song as Joe. Simon said "it stinks" and the other judges smiled and said "it was good I guess".
Every episode is the same old thing. unlike other shows, there are NO TWISTS. The judges say the same things every time. And about the title, my idea of an american idol is NOT Clay Aiken. He does not have nearly the talent of most REAL singers (he is just a wanna-be). Come on, it's been, what, three seasons of this bore-fest? Sign this for the betterment of humankind.

i have been a fan for years and this season is terrible. i think the show needs to be reborn (get creative!!! how much to they get paid??) or just die.

The first season was interesting... but after the 2nd one, the rest just got repetative and boring fast. It's just filled with a bunch of non-talented wannabe's. Please kill this show and don't bring it back!

American Idol is more about the 30 million people who tune in to watch someone else get humiliated in front of 30 million people.The only ones getting their kicks are the audience! This show is formulaic and transparent.

Wow, i can't believe some people love this crap...And someone here said that American Idol is her passion, well that's probably because she's a wanna-be like all others. If I want to listen to gibberish I either watch 2 minutes of this crap or Mariah Carey and puke all the same.

because why on earth should they pick taylor hicks to win? Why not Chris or Katharine? I've been reading comments everywhere that Katharine can sing but without any emotion at all. Man, the music industry needs a talent and a beauty like her. People, have you realized what you have done to vote and let that old Taylor Hicks win? It's like you're trying to add to the meaning of American Idol to the dictionary which means Americans are nothing but bunch of losers. That's the definition of it!
