Dont Buy Gas from Arco AMPM.
this is low quality gas that with time will damage your cars fueling system also this gas burns quicker than other high quality gas. Arco purchases the fuel from Mexico they use the same fuel that a know Gas station in mexico uses called pemex. i have nothing againts arco go ahead and buy there food ect but not the fuel.

I support this petition. Arco DOES have water in its gas! Try using a fuel/water separator!

Arco gas is cheaper because they don't take credit cards. The credit price is always about 10 cents more at stations that list both prices. Oh yeh, plus its crappy gas.

Please look into things before you start blabbing your mouth off like an idiot. ARCO is an American company is which over 90% of the oil comes from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. The reason people are skeptical of ARCO is the gas prices in general are usually anywhere from $.5-$.15 cheaper than other gas stations. Reason? They do not add all the additives into their gas like Chevron, Mobil, or Shell. It's just gas, nothing more... nothing less. So before you go calling ARCO horrible and whatever other words you come up with. Know your facts. I personally don't use ARCO much because it's not close to my house, when I do see one I do use it and don't have any problems with it at all. Also ARCO makes the lowest profit out of all oil companies. ARCO is owned buy BP West Coast Products LLC and not an arab nation. The money we put into ARCO doesn't go to Iran or Saudi. It's an AMERICAN COMPANY! Get that through your heads and stop being so ignorant and following everyone else's idea/beliefs. Get a mind of your own and use it.

in reference to 17howie BP has merged with companies such as Atlantic Richfield Company, AMOCO and Burmah Castrol, making it the largest U.S. gasoline retailer. As an oil and gas producer, BP has also become one of the largest in the worldFROM ARCO FAQ

You guys are a bunch of huffy puffy whiny bitch fags. 98% of you don't know what the hell you're talking about and 99% of you can't spell or use proper punctuation for shit! For goodness sakes people before you have an opinion learn how to f**king spell. As far as Arco goes, I use them... why wouldn't I? Its hhmmmm... so what if you in turn only save 3 to 4 dollars. I see all this bullshit about f**ked up motors but no link to any studies or proved findings. Lastly cars don't last forever... That's why most people refer to there cars with a female name... i.e we use 'em, abuse 'em, and loose 'em.In closing I would like to say don't eat Round Table Pizza because they tried to charge me $36.00 for an x-large pizza and three drinks.

I will not purchase ARCO gas until they do not reformulate their fuel to top-tier standards.

I used Arco gas for my smog test and failed! Never had a problem before, I'm never using Arco again. Unless there's no alternative. Or they smarten up. I read on their pump they're owned by BP (who suck). Also they infuse the gas wih O2 - huh? Gonna screw up my fuel mixture!?!? No wonder I failed the smog, those bastards I'm gonna sue them.

I too had questions about the quality of ARCO so I went to the web site to see what they had to say about the quality of the gas. I found that ARCO does use detergents in their gas - called Clean Tech. You can check out this info - go to their web site and click on the link "Fill Smart" and then click the link ' Learn more about Clean Tech'. I would say if someone had problems with water in the gas it would not be so much a problem with ARCO gas but a problem with the franchisee - the owner of the station. Maybe they are cutting their gas or have bad tanks. ARCO explains that they sell gas as lower prices due to economies of scale -that by the sheer volume they sell they make more money and can sell the gas at a lower price. What I don't agree with is the price of diesel being so high in the US. I have an office in Europe and drive a diesel Land Rover over there. My mileage is 21 city and 28-29 highway. I also rented a diesel last year in Germany - Opel Zafira which is like a small minivan. I averaged 32.5mpg over 1200 miles at 100 mph+ on the freeways and in the city. I really don't think that the oil companies want diesels over here on a large volume as the consumption of fuel would go down by around 10%. Forget about the emmissions excuse, the new diesels are cleaner that a gas engine.
