I am SO sick and tired of this show. It takes valuable time and money from potentially good shows, and worse, we have to constantly hear about it ON THE NEWS, on other networks, everywhere. There is no escape! It is the worst of a bad genre. Time to cancel it!
American Idol is garbage. I'm sick of it getting FOUR HOURS of airtime per week, forcing quality shows like House into mini-hiatus. The show is incapable of producing quality music -- the only idols that have really been successful are Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. The rest just sort of faded into obscurity. The only reason this show has such high ratings is because ignorance is a plague in this country.
There is no reason why Idol should be allowed to control the airwaves the way it does. Other shows stay in their regular timeslot and their regular length so why should Idol get special treatment and be allowed to regulate the way other shows are aired.
I will gladly sign this petition to inform the network that I am a person who wishes to see this and all other reality shows cancelled. I sincerely hope that House will be back on next Tuesday at the regular time. I only watch TV on Tusday night. Gilmore Girls, House, and sometimes Dirt. Please note that the only channels worth watching are CW but only for Gilmore Girls, Fox but only for House, and FX but only for Dirt. I am very disappointed that people actually watched this poor excuse for a television show.
Yea, this show and many other shows alike it ie Desperate Housewives, UFC Fighting, The Office, have influenced our culture in both obvious and negative ways. The only thing is that this is all going to happen again and again and again and again so it doesn't matter anyway. We are all just a computer program. LIFE.EXE
I hate this lame show, I hate all the lame fans of this show, and I hate the fact that REAL shows like House, aren't shown some weeks so that American Idol can air everyday.
GET RID OF AMERICAN IDOL!! It is nothing but garbage. It's nothing more than mind numbing trash that needs to be gotten rid of. It only hurts people. I think people need to get some brains and start watching shows like House and 24!! Instead of this mind numbing trash. Also I agree Paula could have gotten a better gig than making fun of other people, she should be ashamed.
This show is humiliating, immoral and the best example of bullying, discrimination and hate.. everything that is wrong with the world today. We teach our children not to make fun of and hurt other people, but then we show this rubbish on television and act like it is perfectly fine to purposely hurt other people.. just as long as 'cool' and 'well-liked' people are the ones dishing it out. They not only criticize other's musical talents, but they criticize their physical appearance. I'm tired of hearing someone from this show get made fun of because of obesity, I heard one former winner/contestant call another girl a "beached whale" because she was a full-figured woman. That's disgusting, and it should not be tolerated.
Please cancel this lame show! My ears start to bleed anytime someone talks about it. grow up, get a life, get outside and away from the tv that has crap like this on!
This show is completely arbitrary. A friend of a friend signed-up as one of the contestants. She mentioned that the show picks the best and worst singers just to hype up this show.

I totally think this show is the worse show of discrimination and humiliation I've ever seen! I hate reality shows, and this one almost takes the cake! I mean really, why have a show that shows people trying to sing and exclude all other types of musicians and other gifted people. Being a professional trombonist myself, why can't instrumentalist audition???? And usually the wrong people win. The 'cool' judges are so ridiculous as well. Simon is most rude, inhumane jerk I've ever seen. I know he only acts that way for ratings and for fun. Please treat people humanely. One day, he'll have to stand before God and explain it to him!! Well, take this dumb show off now and get better shows like house, BSG, Law & order, CSI...NO MORE REALITY SHOWS!! How insulting to real musicians in this world!

American idol.. seriously.. we teach our kids to not make fun of others yet look how they purposely air the mentally challenged and misguided during the auditions who obviously can't see.Of course, then the judges make fun of them. It's like watching a puppy get kicked in the gut and then get laughed at. THEN they say "we can't look into everyones backrounds". My brother is mentally challenged and that hurts a lot. The only REASON that it gets good ratings is because it is the only thing to watch. On top of that I feel like F'k'en FOX force people to watch it. To hell with and GET IT OFF MY TV!!!!!!!!

The show and its whole point is wrong...all wrong. Replace it with anything else, anything! The music industry as we knew it is no longer alive thanks to shows like this and record companies that back it. Good music lives out there you just have to go and find it yourself.
American Idol is the most futile television show. Three judges who are 'so cool' humiliate people and in the end we end up with Taylor freaking Hicks. Taylor Hicks! I mean come on...
American Idol is the most idiotic show ever. Hell it's not even a show, but a reality show. A reality show that seems to be produce by some that clearly has a 3rd grade education. Could it be the Bushie? I don't know but could be. I wish I just had a 100 billion dollars so I could buy Fox, cancel the b.s., get back to making more award winning shows like House, 24, Prison Break, X-Files, etc. Hell I would bring back Vanished which FOX move around like Houdini. Fox please hear us, and cancel this televisied terrorism called American Idol.
This show is really ridiculous! I was nice to my little sister (9 yrs. old) and watched it with her tonight. What I saw was absolutely disgusting and inhumane. There were two guys who tried out (One short and skinny and the other was overweight). It was quite obvious (even to the casual observer) that both men were mentally challenged in some capacity. They were exploiting the fact that these men were "different" than even the usual candidates who try out and bomb singing. This is a total disgrace and inhumane in my eyes. There is NO need to exploit the challenges that both of these men face in society for the benefit of the show. The judges even went to the extent to say that the short and skinny man looked like a "monkey." They even said this to his face. This is incredibly disgraceful and is indicative of the society in which we live in. This kind of thinking/acting needs to be changed.
Please stop this karaoke on steroids. Not only are you sacrificing intelligent television programming on your network, the other networks won't put anything on opposite the 21st century version of 'The Gong Show'.
It's bad enough that we have to see the stupid promos during our football games; it has invaded the sports bars to the point that games are not being aired because of it. This whole thing is completely bogus and is not deserving of air time.
I support this petition very much. I am for the cause of ending this trite no talent crapfest. I blame this show for my two year obession with Kelly Clarkson. She is a terrible singer who hides her troubled past by having everybody kiss her ass. She gets credit for everything. She doesn't deserve it. What the hell did she do? As for the flash in the pan idols of the past, present, and future, I don't feel the least bit sorry for you at all. You're wasting your life by getting people to like you. I also blame the pathetic assholes at FOX and California for cramming this show down our throats 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. This show and anything that FOX has put out in the last seven years has ruined American culture. This is why Bush was re-elcted president. He made people feel sorry for him and sympathetically asked for a second chance. Ryan Secrest is too obnoxious and irritating. And so is Brian Dunkleman. The modern orchestra that was implemented onstage to accompany the singers sucks. The keyboard player must have been tone deaf as hell and they don't even play their songs right. I am beyond fed up with the millions of people that buy this crap. What's the hell is wrong with you? You are a bunch of stupid, useless people that have nothing better to do. Don't watch this show at all! You'll regret it. Don't give it a chance! You'll regret it. Some solutions to this problem are as simple as reading books, doing your homework, studying, hanging out with friends, playing sports like softball, finding better music, and so on. So, find a different destiny.

Stop moving House. FOX, you have a whole week of mediocre programming to buldoze over with Idol: let us have one night of the good stuff. House won't ever earn ratings if you make it hard for viewers to find.
I have no problem with American Idol BUT, please don't monopolize the entire prime time with it. AI is on 3, 4 or more times a week, sometimes 2 hours a clip, pre-empting or moving around great shows (House, Bones, and probably Prison Break). Once a week is enough like your other programs. LOL Fox is truly beating the pulp out of this show.. enough is enough.

Please, move American Idol. I understand that you probably won't take it off the air, but stop interrupting House! House is your award-winning show. I would think you would care more about an intelligent, award-winner than a show repeated year after year with the same results. I used to like Idol. Now it's just getting boring, and it's replacing MUCH BETTER shows.

House is my favourite show of all time and I am absolutely sick of it being overrun by American Idol. Sure, I do like AI, but House is a million times better and it deserves its time slot.
