I think this is blasphemy. We (Jagex staff) do not brain wash children into playing RuneScape. We have put a tremendous amount of time and effort coding RuneScape and that it why people ejoy playing it. We're just like every other business in the world. We have to make money somehow, and making the "members" option is how we did it. Overall we dont brainwash children into playing our game. They do it for the sake of having fun.
