I am an lover, owner and advocate of pitbulls. I love my Hannah with all my heart and couldn't imagine my life without her. I want the law to crack down on those responsible for the deaths and suffering of innocent dogs and for innocent dogs to stop paying the price.
it is not the dog it is the owner and they way they bring them up! Just like anyone or anything. Negativity returns negativity and death and distruction. Positivity returns and brings success and happiness! Stop this maddness! Why is it that we are not allowed to discriminate people by their looks and ethnicity but we can with other living things!
Pit bulls are the most adorable pets anyone could ever have.It all depends on how you bring them up.Only idiots think they can make a dog fight for it's right to stay alive, and then think they will not attack. People fighting pitts are absolutely sick!
I do not believe that Pit Bull/Pit Bull type dogs should be prima facia evidence that a dog is vicious. All dogs are capable of being dangerous when neglected, abused, or in the hands of an irresponsible owner(s). A Labrador Retriever is just a likely to become dangerous as a Pit Bull if not trained and socialized properly.
I used to believe the worst about the breed until i met a pit bull. I now know that I was wrong. I have been chased out of my home because of BSL. No one should have to choose between their home and someone they love.

This is all crap. I have a boxer/rott mix and the worst he would do is LICK your skin off. He is a kisser & cuddler. My Huskey is a harmless dog that lays around and watchs TV and the house.
I believe that all dogs should be treated equally, and that no breed is more aggressive than another if it has had the proper training and up-bringing.
i have 4 dogs and if the is passed it would take all of my babies away and i wont have it the dogs arnt the bad ones the people that raise them that way are and maybe you should uthanise them not the dogs
I own a pitbull and my daughter owns one too. They are the biggest lap dogs and sooo smart. People need to learn the real loyalty of the dog, not the bad things people have to say about the breed. Can you judge a race of people and decide to ban them?
This is really messed up. I own a husky/wolf hybrid and she has never bitten, growled, or lunged after anyone. She is now 12 years old and the sweetest dog I've even had the pleasure of knowing.
This is insane. Just as several others have said already, you should not blame the dogs, blame the owners. I have had two pit bulls, both of them very loving and sweet that would never hurt anyone! It makes me so angry that there are such horrible people out there that turn these wonderful creatures into aggressive animals. This BSL is just taking the easy way out by punishing the innocent animals instead of the people that are responsible.
I own a half Pitbull half Rottweiler and just purchased a Rotty pup.I would not trade either of them for anything in the world. As with any animal you own, you reap what you sow. If your dog is treated with love and respect he/she will do the same. But if you abuse or treat ill you will get the same in return. It's not the breed it's the owners. Perhaps people should be screened to own these wonderful animals to make sure they are the proper parents. "Pittbulls/Rottwe ilers don't kill people, people cause it"!
The problem is not the breed, is the way owners raise them to be.The United States is supposed to be a place of freedom, but each day i see more and more prohibitions that restrict our freedom.
I've known many dogs of all kinds over the years, and among the most placid and docile have been Rottweillers and Bull Terriers. Conversely, the only dog that's ever bitten me badly was a Jack Russell terrier. There are no dangerous dogs, only badly trained dogs.
I've worked with a different variety of dogs from poodles to pitt bulls for over 6 years now. Pitt Bulls are some of the sweetest natured dogs I've met. NEVER has one showed aggression towards me. As the saying goes "There are NO bad dogs, there are only bad OWNERS!"
my freinds and ihave pitties and i have never seen sucha sweet natured dogs, all have beedn adopted from shelters that wud have other wise killed them. There should be more educatin and information available to the media who dramatize the bull and icannot tellyouhaow many small dogs i have seen maul a child or how many times ive seen a lab or shep cause anxiety due to their agression. its all in the deed! NOT the breed!
BSL is BS...those who support it are ignorant and need to get an animacation! (Education on Animals...haha) Any kind of aggression I blame on the owner. Punish the deed...not the breed.
Riley is the best thing that has happened to us! I have the most amazing and loving Am Staff and she lights up my life and bathes my kitties. They sleep together an cuddle all the time. Embrace the Breed punish the owners and breeders they are to blame not the innocent dog.

there are no bad dogs, there are no bad breeds... there are bad people. we have failed this breed and any other breed that falls under BSL... the laws HAVE TO CHANGE regarding animal fighting and animal abuse. Uneducated people get in a state of panic and just want to quickly and blindly place blame... so its easy to blame a dog or a breed... but that is so CLEARLY not where the issue lies. OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE! This is like a ridiculous witch hunt!

Instead of killing animals for the owners irresponsible choices and punishing us RESPONSIBLE owners is unfair to our
pet(s) and us. Owners shud have to go thru a series of training and classes learning about the breed. People shudn't be afraid of these dogs for they are not human aggressive. They are taught to be aggressive from idiot humans. If BSL passes and continues to pass i'll lose my beloved pet Clyde. He is my world, he has been there thru tough times including my divorce and he is the sweetest thing alive. He's my loving & loyal best friend. PLEASE DON'T TAKE HIM FROM ME!

INSTEAD OF KILLING SO MANY BEAUTIFUL, HARMLESS, WELL- BEHAVED DOGS...WHY NOT CREATE A STANDARDIZED TEST WHICH CAN BE ADMINISTERED TO EACH DOG IN QUESTION OR EACH BREED IN QUESTION. IT WOULD BE LIKE THE DMV TESTING DRIVERS BEFORE THEY GET A LICENSE. YOU PAY A FEE AND GET A LICENSE FOR YOUR DOG AFTER HE/SHE PASSES. I THINK THIS WOULD BE A VERY HUMANE ANSWER TO AN OTHERWISE UNBELIEVABLE AND CRUEL ANSWER. WE DO NOT NEED TO DESTROY OUR PETS. NOT EVERYONE HAS A HARMFUL DOG. They are the best dog that you can own. Their loyalty, people-pleasing, goofy, and overall loving characters are unmatched by any breed that I have been around. And don't forget that fact that they are GREAT with children.

I love my blue nose...hannah is one of the best things that has happened to me, hannah has brought tons of love and joy to our family i wish i could have 100 more!!! i think that when these dogs are raised properly they are nothing but happy healthy and intelligent dogs
I live in Kansas City, Missouri and in the surrounding areas they are banning the APBT. I feel like it is not right for someone that has never owned an APBT to make decisions on the breeds future. Other countries are probably laughing at us because we are trying to eliminiate a D.O.G. I own three APBT and all would never hurt anyone (actually they are quite fond of my nephew and he's 3). Please do not let ignorance make the decision on the future of this breed. Punish the deed not the breed.
dogs are not the problem. the people are the problem with their drug use, drug dealing, poverty, uneducated individuals, & people with no respect for humane or animal life. you need to stop the source of this type of animal cruelty. How can you can blame an animal for the inhumane acts of criminals. These problem will not be resovled until the REAL problem is dealt with.
