you know our pit bull cowboy is the biggest freakin chicken he is scared to death of other dogs and people in fact he was raised around chihuahuas and he thinks he is a little dog.. in my experience my chi's and doxies are alot meaner and aggressive than cowboy, they have napoleon complex! little dogs big attitude never thought id see a big dig thinking he was little, the chi's beat up on him and he runs with his tail between his legs!!!!
This Is WRONG. BAD OWNERS MAKE BAD DOGS. I've been around Pit Bulls, German Sheppards, Rotties, Dobies, Chows,Boxers, Masties, Husky,'s Owned a Wolf Hybrid, Akita, St. Bernard, and NONE of them were EVER aggressive. They were like big children with nothing but love. I swear people's ignorance and fear is getting so stupid. Why uneducated people get to speak and have a say is beyond me. I'm all in favor of owners getting to keep their family pets, NO matter breed. ALL BREEDS ARE GOOD DOGS. NO breed should be punished for what a LOUSY OWNER DOES. Punish The Deed, NOT The Breed.
pit bulls are My dog my first dog was a pit bull - he died of cancer and was the best dog i have ever had in my family - the dog i have now is a pit bull and i am looking for another - pit bulls provide loyalty, love, and that feeling of safety the best secrurity system couldnt provide - save pit bulls !
this is as bad as racism. You should be holding the individuals accountable for mistreating the animal by making it mean. We hold prents countable if their children do something wrong or punish adults who mistret children. The same should be true for bad breeders and owners, not animails that havent done anything wrong, but be born pittbull.
The banning of any breed of dog and the destruction of those dog is murder any way you see it.You cannot tell americans they cannot possess a certain type of dog just because you feel safer without them.I feel safer in a country that lets me make my own decisions.Especially when it comes to choosing my breed of dog.What will be next?We will ban Nike`s because alot of gang members wear them?Or maybe we should ban the color red because it insights violence among gangs?COME ON!We are a country by the people,for the people!These animals are great companions IF you raise them to love people.If you raise a human child to hate and kill,chances are it will.Should we ben so ignorant and blame these dogs for doing what the people they love told them to do?
We have an American Bulldog and a Rottweiler and both of these are stereotyped as "agressive" breeds however both of our dogs are the kindest gentlest dogs you'll EVER meet... why?? Because this is how we raised them!!! Punish the owners, not the dog. They do what they are taught...
i believe that all laws shuld be equal for animals and humans... humans that kill animals should be tried for murder and being prejudice toward a certian type of person is illegal as it sould be for animals as well.
Dogs are not responsible for the owners who choose them, owners should be punished, not the dogs. This is just another form of discrimination, prejudice, and hate.

the thought of banning certain breeds of dogs is ruthless. especially a breed that does so much to help people. many law dogs, war dogs, and helping dogs are of a species under the tag 'pit bull'.
Ban the Deed, not the Breed! There is no cause to ban any specific type of dog. If a dog attacks someone ot bites, it it the fault of the owner, who probably either: A. abused the dog or B. did not raise the dog properly. There is no rhyme or reason for this legislation. Do not punish the animal just because it was born a certain breed, it is not their fault. Instead, increase the punishments for those that breed animals for fighing, and for cruelty to animals. The animals don't understand, all they know is what they are taught. Take pity on those animals who are taken away from their families, most of the time loving, caring families that have treated the animal well and love the animal, for no better reason than for what they are, misunderstood. Think about what you are trying to do. It is immoral, cruel and unjust.
BSL is BS, just like gun control. Don't blame the dog or the gun, blame the person who misuses the dog or the gun. My GSD and my guns have never hurt anyone. Don't ban them!
I think any breed specific legislation is ignorant and due to politicans too lazy or ignorant to find a real solution to a problem and only want to "appear" to take action. I am also disgusted by the medias thirst in reporting every single pit bull incident for the sensationalism it furthers.
i can speak from personal experience as a vet tech and say that i have been biiten by more "cute' little lap dogs then any pit bull type dog, rottweile, doberman, or akita. BSL is a foolish law that was obviously not thought through completely before proposed.
What's next to ban certain other animal's and maybe certain people.It's not the breed's fault it's those ignorant people who get's pleasure from these poor animal's. these people should be punish for what they are doing to these poor dog's.So, Guilliani sit and think who is really at fault, think wisely. Those who abuse innocent animal's should not be trust with childen and even women and the elderly b/c they will also hurt the innocent one's. So please, Guilliani think wisely before you leap and worry about about what's really going on in this world, how to make it better. It's bad enough that other animal's are being extinct slowly and our planet is so polluted with all sort's of toxic and even crime and war help our people and our planet to be better, make it a better place to live in for the children of tomorrow and everything beautiful that this planet have.
My Aunt has a pitbull and I have seen him grow up and he is the best dog ever...It all depends on how the owner want to raise the animal it's not there fault if they are brought up the wrong way...Save The Pits Don't Punish All 0f Them
