While I share your grief for the loss of your loved one, I am also disturbed by the Armenian authorities' total disregard in enforcing existing laws in this case.
From the bottom of my heart I am deeply sorry foryour loss.
Only when people, as asociety, are ruled by law, and follow laws thatprotect all, will the world, Armenia included, become a better place to live in, and to visit.
I visited Armenia over the summer and it was like hell tryin to cross the streets...They gatta start handing out fines instead of collect BS bribes....
I believe that road safety is the responsibility of everyone. A law that addresses this issue in the best possible way must be sought after by the Armenian government to prevent any further casualties.
I'll be visiting Armenia this summer hopefully, and I hope the situation improves considerably, as I have two children whose life and health is so precious to me, that I don't want to become a victim of a senseless accident. The Justice system in Armenia should improve if Armenia needs to make any progress in the fields of economics and investments.
Enact strict traffic laws that protect pedestrians, drivers, and society. And, I do mean STRICT!
Only when people, as a society, are ruled by law, and follow laws that protect all, will the world, Armenia included, become a better place to live in, and to visit.
All drivers should be required to attend driving class, and pass a government supervised driving test BEFORE they get behind the wheel solo.
When pedestrians ignore traffic rules, endangering others, they should be put to court to face justice.
All must cooperate for the good of all.
I must point out that pedestrians need to be educated as well as the motorists in traffic laws, in most of the civilized world
pedestrian has right of the way. BTW Laws are meaningless where no one would follow it, I suggest educating the public.
I have been visiting Yerevan every year for the past 5 years, although I see a lot of improvements, nothing has been done for the traffic situation. Every time we cross the street, we endanger our lives. This is not acceptable for a so called civilized nation!
