Poor marketing on this one, FOX. Sticking it in a bad time slot, too. If you cannot see re-upping this for the 2006 season, at least let us loyal viewers have the rest of this one. No doubt the S2 DVD sales are significant enough to show that we are voting with our wallets. Besides, how bad can it be to have a slightly rating-challenged show that's a multiple Emmy winner in your stable?!?
Sadly, if this comes to pass-- this 18-49 male will be deleting all FOX Season Passes from my TiVO and spreading the word to do likewise.
During the baseball playoffs, I couldn't go a commerical break without seeing an ad for Bones and Prison Break...not once did I see an ad for Arrested Development.
This is one of the most original, most intelligent, and all around funniest shows on television, and cancelling it to make room for more generic shows would be a crime against humanity
the world would be a better place if everyone could experience the pure joy and happiness that arrested brings its loyal fans! to take that away from us, is just cruel and should be a crime!!
and let shows with high ratings simply because they pander to the stupidity of average tv watchers! make them think about the jokes! and look at how family guy caught on! ratings smatings you can find the money to fund it somewhere you rich bafoons! yes baffoons tahts what you are if you cancel!
Thanks FOX, for reminding me that this was my line in the sand. My season passes for Prison Break, House and 24 have been deleted. Have fun championing mediocrity, this smart, *affluent* viewer is gone.
Arrested Development is the best comedy on television, and it would be a bad move to cancel it. NO ONE will respect the Fox network, and I will not watch anything on Fox anymore. EVER. If it's a business decision, then invest in it- spend some freakin money to advertise for Pete's sake!
FOX is making a critical error in getting rid of one of televisions most inventive comedies. this show has re-imagined the sitcom format and breathed some fresh air into a sometimes stagnant genre.
This is the best show on television - cancelling it is an affront to decency. I know the ratings are a little slim, but they're growing, and what about that sweet sweet DVD money? Come on, Fox... be reasonable.
Taste the sad, people, taste the sad. A few years back Fox had a brilliant show called Undeclared. It was underpromoted and its episodes were aired out of order. Guess what happened to it. Now years later, we have an even more brilliant show that was nearly completely ignored by Fox. AD is the smartest show on tv. It's too bad it was aired on the dumbest network on tv. Hey, why would we want to watch AD when we can watch Stacked or Simple Life 9 or Wanna Marry My Teenage Stepdaughter. Buffy Hate Fox. Buffy Love Bluths. Of course, the idiots at Fox probably don't watch the show and won't even get the above reference. Sad sacks.
Please do not cancell this show. More people are learning about it and its fanbase is growing everyday. This is a television gem that will be lost forever.
PLEASE keep the show on your primetime lineup. If you give it a consistent time slot, I'm sure it will do so much better!
Remember, Seinfeld did not come onto its own until its fourth or fifth season...
10 years from now, when AD will be remembered as the best show of the first decade of the millenium, people will hate you, FOX, for what you're doing right now.
Arrested Development is a smart, hilarious show. It was be a travesty to cancel it. I would show another incredible mistake from a company that seems to have a knack for making incredible mistakes.
This show is one of the better imports from the US. Without it my week will be quite sad and pathetic. It is a clever, funny and sometimes touching show. GRAAAAAAAAAAAAH I say to thee who doth cancel the show, GRAAAAAAAAAH.
