there is a lack of sitcoms and the ability to have something that could potentialy be syndicated is a major financial incentive. This show is still in the early adopter phase. As soon as it gets enough momentum and dvd sales it would be ready for the mass market, and would be a grass roots success story.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't end Arrested Development! If the ratings are low, it's only an indication of the stupidity of the average American. I don't want to sound mean, but that's really what I think. Look at all of the awards it has won. It's so funny and unlike anything that's come out in years. I know you have to go by the ratings, but PLEASE just consider moving it to another night or something. Don't ax it just because of that! It's AWESOME!
This is one of the very few shows on Television that is entertaining, and is the only one of the past several years to be an instant classic. When fox loses this show, it loses the only show the channel has going for them.
remember when they cancelled seinfeld and friends after less than stellar starts? no, because they let the program find an audience. you think they'd learn their lesson after botching Family Guy's first run.
I work at FOX and know for a fact that they dont want to cancel the series...in fact we have already talked about selling the series to HBO as well as all previous rights to the 3 seasons. No we will not seel to Showtime....HBO is our only option as of now.
Please save this show. It's my favorite. Perhaps Fox should stop moving it all around the damn scehdule so we can actually watch it and generate some ratings.
This is such a good show- it's really one of those that makes television worth watching. Find a way to market it to the country, and they'll see it's worth it. How could they not?
Please, Fox execs, let your network be known and remembered as the home of funny, smart fare--like AD--and not the home of greedy, short-sighted philistines who axe great shows (like Firefly, etc.--but hopefully not AD) before their time.
I cannot believe FOX is taking its best show off the air. With just Prison Break left, the network is sure going to suffer! This is the funniest comedy on the air right now.
Arrested Development is one of the only shows I watch regularly. I have grown a connection with the Bluth family and look forward to show every week. Don't give up on it. The DVD sales are #25 for overall DVD sales in Amazon.com Some people just don't have the time to watch. PLEASE RETHINK THIS!!
Why are you cancelling all of your critically acclaimed shows? Need I mention Firefly? Arrested Development deserves a long and fruitful run. It's by far the best show on TV.
