I think it is simply outrageous that someone as talentless as Ashlee Simpson is given a record deal out of pure economical concern. Involved in a California-based band, I came across this site and it got me angry all over again. We do strenuous gigs all over L.A. and San Fran, sometimes 3 a night, and they still don't pay the rent. And then, because she has a rich family, Ashlee Simpson can do whatever she wants as far as a music career goes.
I'm definetly not here to label someone as a poser, or trash-talk for ten pages, I'm here because there are thousands of hard-working American bands and singers that HAVE the talent, some, even, that admire Ashlee, as someone to look up to, to idolize. And I'm sure it hurts when they see that after all their hard work and dedication to music, their very own idol clearly reveals that she does NOTHING to gain her respect. And as a final note: If Joe Simpson is reading this, then for the public's benefit, get yourself a life and don't waste it sueing every person or institution that you deem to be slanderous. We are the American people, we aren't all nice, but damn it, we're still Americans, and we can do as we please.
