August 6 and 9, 2005, mark the 60th anniversaries of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the United States.

If the Japanese cared so much about their well-being, they shouldn't have started the damn war! Besides, what's a couple hundred thousand asians compared to the wealth and properity that America experienced after WW2. You know what? Americans have worked hard to build this powerful nation, and we have the right to bomb other nations. If they can't defend themselves, we have the right to take over. The nuclear attacks in Japan sent a message to the rest of the world: If you attack us, you will pay. The invasion of Iraq sent the same message again. I believe that the US government should have obliterated mecca after 9/11. Turned it into a radioactive crator. You think anyone would attack us then?

These bombings exemplify all that's wrong with the world, especially today. Barbaric atrocities are everywhere: Countries that declares war on another for no reason...cough *America* cough...and countries that promote the death penalty like most of asia. Since Nagasaki/Hiroshima, the world has displayed more violence than before, it needs to stop before another World War is created.

with everything that has happened over the last 60 years is unforgiving, we can not go on living liek human beings if all we do is live in fear, war is costing us lives and the people we love, we are only flesh and blood nothing more

I guess sig#5 was a jerk, I don't know. But what happened today, July 7, 2005 now brings new perspective to this petition. I never thought anyone would bomb a part of England. I want to know why, REALLY why that happened. ARE PEOPLE JUST CANNON FODDER?!! NO HUMAN BEING SHOULD BE EXPENDABLE AT THE HAND OF AN INSIDIOUS FEW WHO JUST CRAVE DESTRUCTION!! NO MORE!!!

With all the stuff going on right now. There is no doubt it's going to happen to us sooner or later. 9/11 SHOULD NOT have happened. But I guess what comes around, goes around. I don't want it to happen again. There is too much to lose for ALL of us.
