Van did what he did to help another person, that should show what a good person he is. No one should have the right to end another human's life. It's inhumane, give him a hand and sign your name, every signature counts!
It is unfair...but its life, what can you do? you can't change the fact that the guy is going to get hang..unless someone goes cuts the rope and run off with him. but lets be realistic! A PETITION WONT HELP
please don't kill this man, everyone makes mistakes, and we learn from them.Besides, he was doing it to help his brother. Even though there was no excuse for his actions- the answer is not death
Help him out, no one's life should end so early and in such a horrific way, people should have a good go at life. Van did what he did to help another person, that should show what a good person he is. No one should have the right to end another human's life. It's inhumane, give him a hand and sign your name, every signature counts!
please spare him, he doesn't deserve death sentence for just a young minded mistake.
pleaseeeeee give him a secnd chance.. we all make mistake in life. please give him a second chhance just like you will giving ur child!!!
my family is praying for you, van nguyen..
Come on you let Suicide Boomers out in 6 to 10 years (not fair) they will do it again and you want to KILL drugs smugglers wake up. I don't agree with drug smuggling in anyway shape or form but to HANG someone for it is inhumane.
I feel ashamed when I hear of Nguyen Tuong Van's wrongdoing, but give him a chance, no government or person has the right to judge him, his creator will when the time comes. I am even more ashamed to read the negative dribble of other uneducated, racist Australians who are wasting their time on this site. If the time comes that your loved one/friend makes a dreadful and stupid mistake dreadful mistake, you may see things differently.SAVE HIM!!!!
Please re-consider this situation. He is a young boy who never convicted to any crime activity. Moreover, Van had co-operated to help the authorities and cops to settle the case. The death sentence cannot be used in this case. He can be punished in a different way, but he DESERVES to be ALIVE. Give him a CHANCE to live. CANNT' take life away from him.
Thank you to Singapore Government.
Please do not hang this young man. He has done everything to co-operate with police, etc. since his arrest. He made one stupid mistake which, yes, he deserves to be punished for - but not to be killed for. Killing drug mules does nothing to help the drug problem. They are expendable - and easily replaced. Please do not take this young man's life.
Drug was in transit, didn't stay in Singapore. He deserts to stay alive. He must be sent back to Australian government for punishment. Please think about all people in the whole world, not just only this case.
It is a reflection on all of Singapore. There should be no place for a country that sanctions murder in the 21st Cenury. We've come nowhere. It breaks my heart and I pray there will be a last minute miracle.
Regardless of one's views on the morality of illegal drugs, capital punishment is a base act from what should be a bygone era. Please save this very young Australian man's life.
I forward this message on be half of my 7 years old daughter who wrote to me:
Dear Mum
I think it is a real serious mistake & that he shouldn't have done it in the first place. I am quite ashamed but I still don't C why he should be hung. I don't know why he has to have such a punishment that would ruin his life.

Best regards,

how can some one take a life asmuch as i think he done the wrong thing he still has a mother and we should boycotte singarpore as they are going to murder this boy
Please spare the life of this man. Yes, he acted foolishly and did not think of the outcomes and consequences. But he did it for family. Who would not do something out of love for family. We all do, we all take actions before we think when it comes to our loved ones. Spare this young mans life!!!
This is ridiculous. Surely the extent of drug trafficing is extensive, but there is no reason for a man to hang, when he did not directly cause any person(s) death.
Van may be guilty, but he is young, and to have his life cut so sort is a tragity in anyones eyes. i believe that John Howard is not doing enough, and it would be better if he could be in a prisoner exchange to come home, and do his sentance here, where his family is.
Don't we live in a more civil world where people do not have to die by hanging? This is cruel beyond reason and completely inhuman. I express my utmost sympathy to Nguyen Tuong Van and pray for those in power within the Singapore Government to find it in their human hearts to reconsider this horrible decision.
