Executing someone when they're admitting guilt is wrong because you Don't give them any chance to turn back and become a better person. That's against a lot of religions, especially buddhism. The law is made by people, and it can also be changed by people. Sometimes written words can take someone's life without understanding the cause of guilt, and the reasons behind it. That's wrong and against nature. This is executing a human life, not a killing a chicken. I think this decission should be totally reversed

every body makes mistakes in thier lives. Kill some for thier mistake is just so easy. But making that person realises his mistake and does some thing to pay for his mistakes is much more difficult. I wanna ask u one thing Jugde Kan Ting Chui.:" Have You ever made mistakes" and at that times You wanted people kill you or forgive you.

I think that this is an outrage. He's trying to help his brother. A brother would sacrifice this much to help his other brother. This is the humanity I am talking about. If a judget would hang him for the crime that he do not intend to do. I think that judget have to reconsider that he's in the situation. Please don't execute innocent people. They suffer enough from the war.

We have as individuals have NO RIGHT to take an individuals life, no matter what the crime is, we did not make or create that life, so how as a society can we take this mans life. Regardless of the crime, he should serve time, and not hung, how would we feel is this was a family members of ours, nobody is perfect, buy nobody deserves to die like this. This is Australia, and it's the year 2005, if this man is hung, then what kind of society do we live in after all? Bring Him home, to our politicians do you're job and don't give up, keep trying and do something for once.

This is not in line with the times. It is by far out of date and disproportionate. Sure he has committed a crime, and surely 15 years in hard labour would be a more suitable and proportionate punishment. IF Nguyen hangs, I will at my convenience and pleasure cancel all my (SINGTEL) Optus services. They include mobile, home phone and broadband. I will never travel Singapore Airlines and avoid everything Singaporean for the remainder of my life. I make that promise to myself today and now. I will also encourage others to do the same.

This man was arrested in Singapore..thats true..for drug trafficking.THey say that he could have hurt 26,000 lives with this small portion of heroin and there for deserves the death pennalty.Dont you think that its up to us to decide his fate? He was on his way to Australia..not to deal in Singapore..he was only passing through...so there fore he should be deported back to Australia to face the charges here.....not left in the hands of these murderers. Its obvious that goverment arent going to do all they can ...and that is typical of the selfish *****s.Yes they spend our dam money going to visit desperate people in other countries..instead of looking after our own.As far as I can see...Howard has some pull...and he chooses not to.He is then accessory to murder...and I hope he rots in hell for that...I dont even know this kid...but nobody deserves this...and I cannot beleive we are all standing by and letting these barbarians kill and treat fellow human beings like they do...why are you all voting in this selfish dickheads that arent interested in your well being at all...its all about their money and what crooked deals they can get into....get a grip you lot..and stand up and be heard.....and as for you polititions...I stand ashamed of you...and I am one person that can honestly say...I didnt vote for any of yas....nor would I stoop so low.

The capital punishment is too cruel and inhumane for any civilized countries such as singapore; therefore, I am urging you (those who have the authorities) to reconsider the decision and to reverse your decision to save this young man's life. Nguyen Tuong Van does not deserve to die. Thank you so much for your sympathy for Nguyen Tuong Van and May GOD bless you all.

Put yourself in the position would you like people do the same to you. people make mistake the first time doesn't means they have to end there life that way, if you don't give people 2nd chance how will you know they change or not.

execution for this crime is in itself a crime. He did the wrong thing but he took no-ones life, yet the singaporean govt will take his life. This is disgusting, as is any state sanctioned death for drug trafficking. 5 yrs, 10 yrs, even 20 years jail, while still outrageously severe, at least would provide him and his loved ones with hope for the remainder of his life. this murder is sadistic and cruel beyond belief. australia be ashamed u havent gone to the international court!!!
