It is not that I do not want Nguyen to be punished for drug offenses, but hanging is extremely out of proportion to the crime. Please assuade his punishment, his crime was not done out of malice.
My prayers go out to the Nguyen family, i will do anything i possibly can to help. Please stay strong.
SAVE VAN!!!
Please spare this young man's life!!!
No doubt he committed a serious crime, but hanging him is way too cruel. There're other more humaine purnishment than to put someone to death. God created man not to be destroyed by another man!
Your excellency, Mr. H.E Alexander Downer,
I just read about an Australian citizen, Nguyen Tuong Van, who is about to be executed in Singapore for carrying 400 grams of heroin. Obviously, the punishment is vastly disproportionate to the crime. I would like to appeal to you to do anything you can in your capacity to avert this gross human right violation.
I do not know Mr. Van. I am not even an Australian, I am Canadian. But I feel, as a fellow human being, I should email you to request your kind indulgence in this matter.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Binoy Yonzon.
This death penalty is inhumane and doesn't fit the crime. We understand what he did is wrong and you can give him some other punishment not death. Please spare Van's life....
Please give Van another chance. Death sentence is not a way to resolve problem. If it is, murderous crimes and traffickings would have ceased long time ago when the law was applied. So, please review the law and give Van Nguyen another chance
To: Honourable LEE Hsien Loong.
Prime Minister of Singapore
Orchard Road
Istana Singapore, 238823
Please grant a delay to the execution of NGUYEN TUONG VAN!
Sincerely Yours,
Cathy Bui
Nobody deserves such a barbaric punishment, even a murderer. If you kill someboy then you are a murderer, too, no matter your stone-age law allows you to do so..
PLEASE reverse your decision & spare Van's life!!
These countries must update their laws to fit the crimes! Execution is NOT an option!!

It makes me sick to see the Singapore government's reluctancy to spare this man's life. I have only just finished high school and have been following this case since it began. I understand that his 400grams of heroin may have killed 6 - 8 people if it was sold on the market. Let me repeat 6-8 dependant users in one year not the 26,000 the singapore government grossly claims but 6-8 as a prominent melbourne drug researcher has shown. But what is 8 compared to the hundreds that their Bali bombers have killed. And what punishment did they get? Just a slap on the wrist and a couple of years in jail. It's disguisting.
The punishment does not fit the crime and Van does not deserve to die. This man has shown integrity throughout his case and has shown the world courage for his family and friends when although the media does not show it, it is certain that he would be feeling petrified at this moment. No one has the right to kill a fellow human being. By doing so you are playing God and no one but God has the right to do so. The death penalty is an abhorrent abuse of power and pains my soul to see it still in place.
I am disguisted that John Howard has not yet and does not intend to appeal to the ICJ in regards to Van's case. This man our prime minister seems to rather want to keep face than to pursue justice. Only little Johnny Howard sir you don't know what face is. From playing Bush's dog to now i along with many other Australians as well as people around the world have lost all respect for you. I would have thought that with such a big opportunity to regain our respect right in front of your nose you would take it by joining Prime Minister Helen Clark of New Zealand in pushing for clemency but i guess this just shows how thick you really are.
Although i have no connection with Van Nguyen i feel so strongly for his case that yes i do get angry, yes i do get emotional not because i'm a teenager and therefore mu
it angers me to see such inhumane procedures still in place in the 21st century. It is primal and should have well been abolished. This young man made a terrible mistake in desperation but should not be executed for it. The punishment does not fit the crime and Van's life should be spared. Please grant him clemency so he can become a better person than he is already. God bless

Judges do you have a conscience. Yes i understand it is your law. surely compassion should be part of such,Will you tell your children and grandchildren it's okay to kill. isn't yhere enough killing in the world today without judges handing down such. He does have a Mum and brother & no convictions . He admitted he ahd the drugs, I am totally against drugs. But surely you shoudl get the Mr Big not this young man or is it too hard and you are using this young man as a scapegoat. So very sad.
let nguyen tuong van go please. He doesn't deserve to die like this. You wouldn't want your son to be like him, would you??? he's a human foe godshake.
Smuggling illegal drugs is a crime but to take ones life for doing that is something I view an even greater crime. Please repeal the sentence as this young man's life has just begun and now its all going to be thrown away in a single decision. I urge you to please spare him his life as a jail term would've seemed more suitable for this case.
Please I'm begging you, you shouldn't do this to him. He doesn't deserve to die like that.Nobody does. Please after reading this, I cired because he shouldn't die like that. He's too young. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GOD HELP HIM!!!
Nobody deserves to die no matter what crime. not only that but also you did not give him life you have no authourity or RIGHT to take it. You say you are killing him to save lives, by killing him you are taking a life. It makes me mad to think that none of you have any heart to think that what you are doing is wrong, you are officially murderers if you kill him. it makes me sick to think that there are actually humans in this world who take pleasure in capital punishment. But you will surely regret this terrible thing you have done after he is dead.......but then it will be too late.
Please dont put people to death. THat is killing. how valuebale this like this, why you taken away from him. People make mistakes. Please him have a second change to be a good man/
