Van deserves to be disciplined for his wrong-doing but not the extreme death penalty. Let's not forget that Van is dealing with a country that has no tolerance for public spitting or chewing gum and strictly enforced. Hence I highly doubt that the Singaporean government will reconsider a lesser punishment for Van, especially since he's not a native Singaporean. My prayers goes to Van and his family. Either outcome, we all learn that there is not shortcut to life!!!
I cant believe Van only have 2 days left to live. Every night and day I cant help myself from thinking about how it would be like to be hanged. I try to put myself into Van’s situation and I just realized how cruel people can really be. I know Van had done something wrong but I don’t think he deserve to die. Smuggling drug is wrong but should not involve his life to repay for his action. I think the Singapore government is very cruel to hang him. Lucky I’m not a Singaporean because I would be very embarrass to be one. If god really exist he wouldn’t let thing like this happens. I don’t believe in god because I see a lot of bad people do bad things and still live happily in a wealthy live. As for the man who agree to hang Van who belief in rebirth after you die I like to see him kill himself and see how he can come back. He is very old now if he belief he can come back then why don’t he kill himself so he can come back and become a much more healthy, richer person. I like to see himself prove what he said on the news. Or maybe he is afraid to die because of the cruel things he does to other people. I like to see him hang himself then come back perhaps he realized how wrong his action is and tell us how he felt. I I don’t belief in rebirth. I believe we only have one life to live therefore we should treasure it as much as we can and it means we should respect and treasure other people’s lives as well. I believe no one is perfect. We all do wrong things. Don’t tell me you’ve never done anything wrong in your live before. Sometimes we have stupid thought and do stupid thing but we all should be given a chance to acknowledge our mistake and given a second chance. I cant understand what’s on the Singaporean government’s mind taking a person’s live away just for one mistake that he have done and give him no mercy. I like to see what happen to them in the future when they do something wrong and I’m sure they will. If only people stop worrying about there own lives for few
Tai sao lai la tu hinh ma khong the la mot hinh phat khac mang tinh con nguoi hon? Hay doi xu voi nhau bang tinh nguoi hon la nhung luat le vo tri vo giac ay!
I don't want to see Nguyen Tuong Van hang..He does not deserve the death penalty. He should be granted clemency for his cooperation with the authorities.
My heart is with him and his loved ones during this different time
everyone makes mistakes. what if it were a member of your family? would you have them hanged? Put him in jail for a very long time but to execute him for this crime is totally unjust. Just because it is their law does NOT make it right. As intelligent beings we should be able to think this through and stand up to ANY laws that are unjust.
Dear Singapore Government,
"The quality of mercy is not strain'd,
It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven
Upon the place beneath.
It is twice blest:
It blesseth him that gives and him that takes."
May the Goddess of Mercy Kuan Yin hug the Buddhist Ms Kim Nguyen, & her twins Van & Khoa & comfort them in their hour of need.
Yes, some people have awful lives - fleeing from the Communist, giving birth to twins in a refugee camp in Thailand & soon about to lose Van (who at the age of 25, has already spent 3 years of his life in Changi prison). What next?
Is there a God?
Anh yeu NGUYEN tuong Van , voi so tuoi 22 chua hieu the nào là trong tôi. Hay tha cho mot con nguoi hay con ngay tho voi tuoi 22 . Tham chi con chua biet yeu là gi nua
just imagine that you've got son and that could happend to him! just imagine his mothers pain....just imagine pain of all the people that love him...just don't kill him pleaseeee
We cannot accept another institutionalised murder of a human being. This sentence is completely disproportionate with his crime.
My thoughts are with him and his family. God bless.
I pray that at the 11th hour mercy will be shown to this young Australian man and his family. To hang a fellow human being is a barabaric crime not an act of justice. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
Poor Van, He has admited his wrong. Hes feels remorse about what he had done. Hes only a young person let him live for the sake of his mom. He did this because of his twin.I think we should let him LIVE. PLEASE LET HIM LEAVE. MAY GOD BLESS HIM AND MAY GOD BLESS HIS FAMILY.
Iam buddish and I do believe in whats go round come around.
If Van deseve to die and you hang him .O.K..
But if he doesnt deserve to be hang and you still must hang him because of some personle reasons then whats go around will come around , wait until you in his family's situation and everyone turning back on you.
van deserve a 2nd chance, there are no right that said if you make mistake once you will die. those poeples should give him another chance in other for him to change
Please be generous to save the life of young Nguyen Tuong Van. Every mother in the world and his mother will be grateful to Singapore Government. Many thanks.
