Please spare his life. He make a mistake put him in jail for his consequence, but sentenced to death it's over exceed humanity on earth. Please give him a chance, one chance to be alive.
Nguyen was caught with drugs in transit from Cambodia to Australia at Singapore airport just before boarding a Quantas jet. He did not leave the airport. His actions as such, threatened no harm to any Singaporian.
Nguyen's life should be spared as I am against the death penalty as the death penalties in the world have not stopped the crimes. I ask Singapore to be merciful.
Dear Death Penalty Supporter.
On page 61, Jurong_Singapore wrote a long message and at the end of the message, the writer asked us to "Please respect that". My comment is, how can we "respect" if your identity is "Death Penalty Supporter", and my question is "Respect what?" Most of us respect the laws and our responsibilites to the laws, but we DO NOT respect the decision to hang a person.
Dear Van and family,
My tears, heart and many prayers are to you and family. God gave you life, and God will continue to give you life.
Drug trafficking is a serious crime; however, it should not be equal to a first degree murder. This young man committed a serious mistake but it does not justify for a death penalty. God creates human and sends them to earth for reasons. Some get misguided or fell on a wrong path. God is the only one knows when to take a human back from the earth. Let’s not act like God on earth.
I would request Singapore Government to take a second look and spare this young man for the sake of humanity. As a matter of fact, you have done enough execution for this year; please do not exceed your quota. Let’s not be barbaric and start executing people left and right based on whatever in-human laws you might have in your country.
The UN should institute an international law, where if any person is convicted for any wrong doing, the country could conduct a trail; however, after the trail, if the person is convicted, he/she should be sent to their country of citizenship along with the verdict. It would be the responsibility for the country where they have the citizenship to follow-up according to their laws and sentencing.
Van don’t worry, you will be saved but never try to get near those drugs again, since God is watching your case closely.
If Nguyen Tuong Van were Kan Ting Chui's own son, would Chui sentence Van to death? Come on, give me a break. The Australian Government and its people must do everything in their power to bring this young man home where after all, his family had chosen it to be their final refuge.
Government should protect its own citizen regard any mean. This citizen was Vietnamese but he lives for the moral value many citizens should have - family core value is a root of all happiness and foundation for a united community. Please work all your power to get this citizen off the deathrow.
I teach my students to not believe in drugs or anything associate with drugs, but death by hanging is too "cruel and unusual punishment" for a first offense. Civilized countries, such as Singapore, should not have to resort to this barbaric measure. Please extradite him back to Australia to stand trial if the Singaporean gov't cannot do more clement. The world is awaiting Singapore's just and humane compassion in this matter.
A Vietnamese-American,
TA
This is an outrage! This is not a crime punishable by death. Execution by hanging will be a crime against all humanity. Please do not execute this man.

Executing Tuong Van is an evil act. I boycott Singapore. I will encourage my people to do the same. We will never ever ever fly to Singpore or use any of Singapore service such as airlines ever and ever again. It is so unfair to kill a convict in a hurry with no further, deeper investigations to prove it really really reasonable to execute him. Singapore jungle laws need to be changed. I am shocked by all this. All my views about the beautiful Singapore are about to be completed reversed. I am starting to think Singapore is just an uncivilized country with no human sensitivity. It like a country of robots. Shame on Singapore, down with Singapore. I hate crimes, I hate drug dealers but justice must mean justice not careless and uncivilized killings of human being like animals like that.
Death penalty should be the very last resort for murder crime such as premeditated killing of someone, This is the type of law that should be ban because it is very extreme, a young man should be helped and reintroduce back into the world and not be kill for making mistakes ...
This is my 3rd post in here and I have read some good comments to try to get through to them savages (leaders) in Singapore.
I have read how John Howard should be ashamed, yeah right! What a puppet he turned out to be and not to mention President Bush’s ass licker.
If this was my brother he would have been out of that place by now, somehow someway I would have arranged him to be rescued from them backward minded savages.
OMG how I hate Singapore people, them low down things; they should be all nuked, good for nothing race!
If this hanging takes place, I will never ever buy anything from Singapore and I will spit into any Singapore person’s face I confront in public, they are the scrum of the earth and not worth nothing and should not be allowed to share our planet, your inhumane scrums.
I hope a giant earthquake hits your country and takes all you to damm hell!
Be strong Nguyen Tuong Van, they will get their karma!
I have heard computer users should take responsibility for a bank security flaws, I asked when is the Singapore Govt going to do their job and stop the big boys who do the drugs rather than hang the people who don’t have no place in the high up drug world in Asia, if they did their job we may see this young man in a different situation.
I hate you Singapore scrum bags! You f……king low lives. And stay away from our shores and wildlife and fishery, you desperate dogs…
BOYCOTT ALL THERE PRODUCTS & THE AUSTRALIAN STANDARDS SHOULD BE CHANGED AND ANYTHING SHOWING SINGAPORE, SHOULD BE BOLDED ON ALL PACKAGING!
This is an insignficant crime commited by a youngman to help out his brother, not a serious crime. Therefore, no need a death penalty. It is a waste of a young life. Thanks for your re-consideration.
THE EXECUTIONER WILL GET PAY ABOUT 400 DOLLARS FOR HANGING A HUMAN LIFE. WHAT A JOKE IN OUR WORLD AT THESE DAYS HUH??? PLEASE RECONSIDER AND STOP IF YOU HAVE A HEART.
Once, two friends were fighting together in a war. The combat was ferocious, and many lives were lost. When one of the two young soldiers was injured and could not get back to the trenches, the order went out to get him against his officer¡¯s warnings. He returned mortally wounded, and his friend, whom he had carried back, was dead.
The officer looked at the dying soldier, shook his head, and said, ¡°It wasn¡¯t worth it.¡±
The young boy, overhearing the remark, smiled and said, ¡°But it was worth it, sir, because when I got to him he said, ¡®Jim, I knew you would come for me.'¡±
Mr Nguyen had demonstrated such unconditional love for his brother. Although he had made a silly mistake and done something against the law, but he does not deserve to die. Please spare his life.
Pleading from Singapore.
Drug trafficking shouldn't be penalize with death. Van did not kill anyone so why should his life be taken? How would you feel if this is one of your love ones?
NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO TAKE AWAY THE LIFE OF A MAN. IMAGINE HOW DO YOU FEEL IF THE LIFE IS TAKEN AWAY IS YOUR LOVE ONE. IF WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE, PLEASE A MAKE A DIFFERENCE ON THIS MAN: GIVE HIM A CHANCE TO LIVE. BECAUSE KNOWING YOUR LOVE ONE ONCE MAKES MISTAKE, BUT YOUR LOVE ONE DOESN'T DESERVE TO BE EXECUTED. SO PLEASE EXTEND A CHANCE FOR HIM TO LIVE.
Please spare his life for him to have a chance to appreciate life that GOD gave him.
Thank you so much for your mercy and GOD bless you and your country.
Singapore is notorious as human grow up to be machines. There is nothing there as people was looking for money and more money and the place where only hypocrites exist. They will not share their love to anyone, and they love to execute anyone they think might hurt their business. And so, they do it.
Instead, they should give that young man a chance to live, a chance to change to a new life as much as they wish someday someone would forgive them.
Please give him a chance to live.
