THIS IS NOT A CRIME, so there is no dead sentense, only resting in prison.
People stop talking crap
He makes big mistake, he deserve it, BUT DEATH SENTENSE is not for this ****, only for MURDER.
GOT IT,SINGAPORE ??
Singapore is a draconian, horrible place. The Australian Government are so concerned about their diplomatic relationship with this country that they have not fought hard enough to have this young person extradited back to Australia.Be at peace, Van....you are a brave and honourable person.
In my country, the law works the same for any drug smugglers that is 'death by hanging;. However, I do believe that Nguyen deserves a second chance since this is his first offence. I hope the Singapore government would spare his life and perhaps sentence him to jail instead. FOR GOD SAKE!, Spare the life of this young man! Sentence him to life in prison if u want , but not the death penalty!
Sentenced to death for 400 grams of heroin is not justice. We are human, we all make mistake. 400 grams for first time commit crime is only worthy for 10 years prison.
To The Singaporean Government and everyone involved in this EVIL Act of MURDER
This is my last prayer for you to stop the murder of Mr van Nguyen by killing him tomorrow morning by hanging. This is an act of SATANISM!
OUR CREATOR GOD ALMIGHTY and SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST does not approve of this EVIL ACT.
Tomorrow, I will know whose teachings you all will be following. It will either be:
a) An evil teaching by SATAN which you have been preaching and intending to practice.
b) Or repent, start to learn and live the life and the teachings which comes from our GOD ALMIGHTY AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST!
We all have very short lives on this earth and if we don’t start living with GOD and in His ways soon, it will simply and eventually be too late!
I am pleased that Mr Van Nguyen had asked God and Jesus Christ for forgiveness of his sins and is living a CHRISTIAN way of life now!
What about YOU and YOUR VERY EVIL WAYS? Will you continue to follow SATAN’S teachings until your final breath on earth!
May God Almighty and Jesus Christ BLESS Mr VAN NGUYEN with their ETERNAL LOVE for ever!
I will myself eventually die someday and join Mr Van Nguyen in HEAVEN, in GOD’s KINGDOM.
JUDGING OTHERS
(Luke 6. 37-42)
37 “Do not judge others, and God will not judge you; do not condemn others, and God will not condemn you; forgive others, and God will forgive you. 38 Give to others, and God will give you. Indeed you will receive a full measure, a generous helping, poured into your hands – all that you can hold. The measure you use for others is the one that God will use for you.”
39 “And Jesus told them this parable: “One blind man cannot lead another one; if he does, both will fall into a ditch. 40 No pupil is greater than his teacher; but every pupil, when he has completed his training, will be like his teacher.
41 “Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eyes, but pay no attention to the log in your own eye? 42 How can you say to your brother
He may well be guilty, and he may not be as innocent as his defence claims. However I am not convinced that the death penalty is warranted. I would oppose the death penalty itself in general, but more particularly it must be reserved for the worst of all offences. Again, I am not convinced that the offence committed is of this nature.

I object to how he's been envision as some what of a saint, he deserves nothing better than to suffer harsh punishment for drug trafficking regardless of whether it was to help his family or to feed an addition. However, i do not believe, given the nature of his offence, that he should be facing the death penalty. Age should not come into this as the media has made it out to be, but TVN made a simple error and he should be punished according, not made an example of for those who truly the penalty.
My heart goes out to all of the family and especially to Hguygen and his mother. His poor mother is also facing life, as this would tear and wreck hers for the rest of her days. ....This young man should don't be sentenced to death , punishment jail would be more humane. Its DISCUSTING to hear our fellow Australian has only a day left to live his life..Hes only 25 years old .... Ionly hope that this decision can be reversed..HE DOES NOT DESERVE TO DIE THIS WAY !!
Singapore government must consider stopping their inhumane punishment to all prisoners. In fact, they don’t have the right to execute Mr. Nguyen. Mr. Nguyen did not do anything to harm Singaporean, why Singapore Government applied their own laws on him? Mr. Nguyen must have a right to stand for trial in Australia.
I think that Singapore Government executes Mr. Nguyen to continue holding their proud of their own law system. Unfortunately, this system is an immoral and inhumane one. Hanging people to death is a horrible punishment. I hardly believe that in the 21st century, there still exist such inhumane punishment. They claim that they implement their laws to protect their own people, but I think that they are just so selfish. They use inhumane punishment to other people to protect themselves. If they think that Mr. Nguyen is worth for a death row, why thousands and thousands of people around the world are praying for him? Even with a death penalty charge which most countries strongly oppose, why not they put him on the electric chair so that he can leave this world quickly and less painful?
Can you image how badly one will suffer if he is hung? How do you feel if you stop breathing for a couple of minutes? I read one of the newspapers and it says that it will take 6 to 10 minutes for that person to die. How do you feel? During that long period of time that person slowly and painfully suffers neck breaking and no breathes to death. How sorrows his family will face when they collect his body? I cannot think of any more words to describe how inhumane this country is practicing.
PLEASE ALL TOGETHER WE PRAY FOR MR. NGUYEN AND HIS FAMILY.
I will never visit Singapore nor fly any flight that stop at Singapore airport. I will look at this country with no respect. And I hope that you all can consider carefully when you decide to stop by Singapore. Who knows how many more inhumane punishments this country is practicing?
Please treat Nguyen Truong Van as if he is your son. Please give him a second chance. It is believed that keeping him alive would be more effective to remind all drug traffickers of the consequence.
I believe and pray that the Australian Government will exercise its power to stop this killing. I beg the Singapore judge look at the motive behind and give this young man a chance. God please help this family.
Smuggling drugs directly results in 'crimes' of consent. The buyer consents before any effects by the drug occur to the buyer. The buyer says, 'Yes! give it to me' to a dealer. Mr. Nguyen Tuong Van nowhere forces this drug upon anyone, neither does he immediately sell it to them. The death penalty (afaik) in USA is limited to only unjustified murders and other heinous crimes. The U.S.A. has around 1,000 executions now since the 1970's for various murders, etc., But in Singapore, this is done for smuggling? And 'hanging' is the method to boot?? My god, folks of Singapore, you've got to get a grip on your politicians / judges. This seems in the best possible light as misguided legislation or judgement. Many more people would be here signing too if it was more visible in the news here in the USA.
No one is perfect. Humans makes mistakes and the most important thing is that people learn from the mistakes they made and stay away from it. Yes, Tuong Van deserves a second chance in life.
In our life we're all make a mistake, we are human. In this case Nguyen Truong Van act with his compassion for his brother, he's not a selffish person, he does deserve second in life to make it right. Please have a compassion and a love one for another, give him second change in life.
By carrying out such barbaric and inhumane punishment as they imposed on Van Nguyen, the Singaporian government indirectly isolate it's country and its people from contact w/ the outside civilization. Its rules is unheard of and widely disapproved by any civilzed countries. Van deserve a fair trial and in a more civilized court room. What Singapore doing is to indirectly deter any tourists or visitors to enter their country. People will associate Singapore with something evil and malicious. I myself and many of my friends would reconsider about visiting its country & even using any Singaporian's products, doing any business or even fly Singaporian's airlines. It's extremely sad to see a developing country that has such primitive & unjust law, worse than those underdeveloped countries I've known. It's time to stop the killing & change its judicious system.
Executions are immoral and a violation of basic human rights. All governments who allow this need to be held accountable including mine, the United States.
Please have mercy sparing his life and allow him a chance to rebuild his life. Please take into account his circumstance and his cooperation in the investigation.
the Singapore government is right at this situation but we have to wait a long time to prove Van have to get the dead penalty or not . Singapore is seem very hurry to kill the people . I think it better if they wait for about 1 or 2 year to check out Van have to get dead penalty or not
There is a punishment for every crime. However, it must consider case by case, for example, we have first and second degree murder. Not all murders are the same, so not all heroin carriers are the same. Pls consider your verdict. Thx
