Won't this person suffer much more in a Sigaporean prison and for much longer, if reprieved? What about the suffering amongst other people he has caused? What about the deaths he is responsible for? Are these to be forgotten? Let him hang! It will be much qicker and far more humane than life in prison!
Yeah yeah, we have heard this all before. Let's take our thoughts off this guy getting hung, and instead GO TO: www.petitionspot.com/peti tions/fame4u
It will make everything better, I promise, really.
This execution is a mistake. Capital Punishmest is abhorrent. It shows absolute and unjustifiable faith in the justice system, and provides the most terrible incentive for suspects to use any means necessary to survive - lying, murder, extortion, etc.
It is sad that this man's life is valued less than the drugs he was carrying. Punishing him to death will bring great disrespect upon
Singapore.
Someone may have said it already. But I'll say it again. I never heard of a a drug runner being sentenced to death in America. It's harsh. Now if he killed anyone while trafficking. It's a different story. I don't see any evidence of that factor on this petition. This is to Van: THERE WERE OTHER WAYS TO HELP YOUR BROTHER. I would do other things, (legit things) to help my brother.
He made a mistake, we all make mistakes, we all have to learn. How is he to learn this way? Sister Helen Prejean says that when you sentence someone to death, they die by anticipation 1000 times. That is not humane. Please reconsider.
please, let this young man live, he was helping his brother. who among us would not do so.I beleive even the judges that sentenced him would have done the same thing if they have a heart. God, please hear our prayers.

No overnment has the right to KILL someone, what is this going to solve?all it will do is wreck the lives of his family. The lessons of history should have shown that this is morally wrong this in itself is a far greater crime.Let him LIVE
To the Government
of Singapore:
As a registered nurse from the United States, I respectfully
request that you reconsider
this man's sentence. Thank you.
In life, everybody make stupid mistake at one stage or another but we all deserve a second chance and same apply to this young man. Please give him another chance to rebuild his life and his family must have suffering so much already. I beg you to spare his life.
as a mother my thoughts and prayers are with van's mum.i always feel closer to god in a garden and in the presence of a child .so therefore it should be god who decides when van should be with him. no mortal human has the right to determine when anyone should die.i thought murder legal or other wise or the man made laws that created it.is the worst crime of all i pray for your life van god bless you and your family.
Isn't it sad that Changi prison, the site of such cruel and inhumane treatment of POWs during WW2, is now used as a place of execution of world citizens found guilty of social crimes. Along with many other Australian and allied soldiers, sailors and airmen who were part of a combined effort to defend Singapore against the Japanese, my father was imprisoned there in 1943. I'm sure he would turn in his grave if he could know that Changi, Singapore is now the execution capital of the world.
i am saddened by this case..i am sure many other people world wide are too. We don't need to kill people for stupid reasons anymore..there are too many deaths nowadays alreadt (e.g poverty etc)
all i can say..spare him and we all feel for his mother..
LET HIM LIVE give him a future!
In life we all make mistakes. By making mistakes we learn not to repeat them.
By sentancing him to death this man will not be able to learn from his mistakes and all that will be left will be grief of heartache of his family and friends.
My mother was from singapore and i have always learnt to respect authorities but this penalty is too harsh and inhumane.
Please reconsider your decision and grant Mr Nguyen Tuong Van clemency
I believe that when van committed the event he was clearly aware of the consequence but still continued to go against these odds. In the end, it was him who made this decision which does not constitute to this resolution of the death penalty.
Please grant Nguyen Tuong Van clemency.
What he did was a mistake but a small mistake done in desperation shouldn't cost him his life.
Like our parents and teachers always say "two wrongs don't make a right".
By sending him to be executed you will only hurt his family and friends.
NO one has the right to take anothers life. There is already enough natural causes of death, for someone to believe they have the right to take anothers.
