WTF? Spyware and Toolbars in the plugin install? wrong... just plain wrong if only content creators would refuse to upgrade their software in protest, and write flash movies compatible with older versions

Too much is dependant on Macromedia's Flash and Shockwave player in web technology for it to be tampered with by malware. A merging of this great tool with malicious and unnecessary spyware will reflect horribly against Macromedia and will deter many developers from using this tool in future projects. Don't whore this product to useless devices. We need it untampered and honest.
#271

Timothee Groleau said 03/07/05, 2:27 am (verified)

Not good for professional services companies that use Flash to build courses. Clients will consider the bundling the work of the developers--and shouldn't have to deal with this risk of putting a yahoo toolbar on their browser.

I share the same sntiments and have posted on a few forums now. Would hate to lose potential customers who are new to plugins and are confused or unconfident about plugin options. Keep it seamless and keep it classy like it usually is known to be. Yahoo is a big brand - not necessarily a classy one. keep it simple for our customers.
