It has come to light over the last few months that the people who run neopets, The Neopets Team (TNT) use their power too much.
They say you have to be over 13 to go on the forums, which is a perfectly fine age to talk politics and use the occasional swear word, but all an 8 year old needs is a signature from a parent, and abra cadabra, they can go on the forums. This means all 13+ users have to have the tightest rules put on them, which severely incurs on what you can say, just little Freddy or Johnny can go on. Heck, if the parents of the small child don't mind the kid going on the forums and possibly being exposed to things like swearing and politics, then why the need for such tight rules?
This petition will have a target of 1000 signatures, and once i have 1000 signatures, this petition shall be mailed to Neopets, and hopefully they will have listened to us, and we will finally be able to say what we want!!!

I agree completely. Neopets would be much better if it was a 13+ community with freer speech. The petition will go nowhere of course, but its a great idea.

Good Idea. I think it is so stupid that we can't talk about more advance topics. Parents allow their kids to go on, so if there parents let them go on, why can't we say the swear word once in a while?

I think that neopets should be less power hungry, and allow us to have the freedom of speech!!! I have lost at least one account a month, trying to say what i want on there. The most recent account was i_will_be_free which was frozen yesterday, and now the newest is boycott_america.
