look, I didn't mind Shaman King too much. but one piece and Tokyo
Mew Mew are ruined!!! and in my town you cannot get the original ajapanese

FUNimation is way better than 4Kids when it comes to dubbing shows. I hate
what they did to one piece, Nami and Luffy don't sound like they
should. She's got to be nearing her 20's but she sounds
like she 10, Luffy is no better. Roronoa Zoro sounds okay but they changed
his mane to Zolo, that's retarded. They should relinquish their
rights to dub these shows over to FUNimation. The voice actors over there
portray the characters as if they were the characters themselves. 4Kids
****s major ass. |

Okay, first things first. ‘We Are!’ was an odd song,
but it was fitting enough for the One Piece theme. But no, 4kids had to
take the ‘we’re cool’ approach (in other words the ‘we **** and everyone
hates us’ approach) by changing the opening theme to...yes, a PIRATE RAP
SONG! (And I quote: ‘Yohoho! He took a bite of GUM GUM!) That alone would
be enough to curse 4kids to hell and eternal suffering, but it gets far
worse, trust me. Naturally, they pulled a VIZ and changed Gomu Gomu to Gum
Gum. This wouldnt enrage me quite as much if it werent for the fact that
they believe guns are unsuitable for children’s programs, thus Luffy isnt
allowed to say ‘Pistol’. It’s ‘Gum Gum Blast’. As for the REAL guns, well
they’re all gone. Blood and violence? Sayoonara. Nami kicking gits in the
crotch? Snip. Anything that made One Piece funny, great and |

All of the shows 4Kids licenses are kids shows.
The problem is, censorship doesn't run rampant in Japan like it does
over here. Thus, a show for kids in Japan may be much more violent than a
show for kids in the U.S. 4Kids's censorship on television is easily
understood when you realize that they have to do it for TV standards.
Regardless, 4Kids are terrible. Their voice work is the worst. Their DVDs
are cut as if they were censoring for television. They don't include a
subtitled version of their shows. They replace opening and ending themes
with garbage. They often re-write shows to fit their own retarded schemes.
Heck, their Yugioh movie was THEIR creation, and not a real anime at all!

4KIDS needs to be shut down. I dont know if any of you read the interview
on animenewsnetwork.com a while ago but they got one with the CEO of 4KIDS.
At 1 point the guy asked what he had to say to all those ppl out there who
hate 4KIDS and he was like "They need to realize we produce anime for
all ages to enjoy so some things need to be taken out or fixed also for tv
broadcast" or something like that. Ok like all the anime they do
isn't for kids in the first place and its stupid they take out guns and
beer. My dad has the 60's Spider Man cartoon and they had real guns
and beer in it. Also it makes no sense that no one dies. I mean in
Dragonball and YuYu Hakusho those were edited on toonami and people died.
I was so excited when I heard One Piece anime was coming to the US but then
when I heard 4kids got it I went crazy. They seriously need to give the
rights to another company they give the anime here a bad name and then all
the merchendise is made for kids and screws everything up. 4KIDS why dont
you do 1 good thing and stop dubbing anime, what did we ever do to you? |
