Abortion- the killing of a fetus or as webster would put it, termination of pregnancy.
Baisically, and to put it lightly, abortion is killing a potential life. There are three basic options in America for a pregnant woman:
a) abortion
b) adoption
c) keep the baby
About 35%-56% of Americans have abortions each year. So about half of all American women have abortions each year.
With that number now gradually rising, more people all over the world are having abortions. After about 2000, numbers again started rising.
So, what are the physchological effects of abortions?
After abortions, many women suffer from anxeity, depression, suicidal thoughts, and guilt. Some of them even get Post-Abortion Syndrome.
So exactly what is PAS?
"they report deep seated feelings of exploitation over their abortion experience." Baisically? They suffer from many different feelings, leaving many of them feeling helpless.
What are some symptoms?
Some symptoms are guilt, loss, and confusion.
What are some causes of PAS?
PAS often does not surafce until many years after the abortion has taken place. It is a mystery, but many people believe the disorder could be connected to the wanting of a chid or some other unrelated counseling.
What are some physical effects of abortion?
Premature births are just one physical effect. Abortion "interrupts the natural growth process of the breast, leaving millions of cells at a high risk" and also pregnancy failure is more likely to increase.
So, why exactly is abortion wrong?
Abortion interrupts natural pregnancy, leaving many women at risk for fututre pregnancy complications. It also leaves women with mental problems, many surfacing soon after the abortion & some surfacing years after. Some of those people who suffer from PAS committ suicide.

So what would you choose? Have an abortion & suffer from the many (and horrible) conplications or just have the baby & give it up for adoption? It's your choice, but I'm pro-life. I'll let you make up your mind.

I do not support this petition. So basically by not popping out all the little eggiwegs in our ovaries, we're killing them all?? Wow, I need really need to get going. You know why mothers murder their tangible children, the real ones, with organs, and needs? Either A: A psychological disorder or B: They don't love them! Why don't they love them, may you ask? HM.... maybe because having the baby ruined their life?! Maybe because it destroyed her chances of going to Harvard? Maybe because lil Johnny was an everyday reminder of the brutal rape she endured? Well there goes two lives down the drain! It's ashame because maybe if she got it vaccumed out eight months ago both could have kept their dignity! And I promise you, the fetus really wouldn't give a sh*t because it is NOT competent, nor does it have thoughts, nor does it even love or care about anything! You could whine about the 'bond' between mother and child, but seriously, the child isn't mentally CAPABLE of caring about anything until it is like 2 months old. We're overpopulated anyhow. Us ladies oughta get our tubes tied and adopt an African kid, eh? THEY are the ones who need this attention, not a fetus!

You people should be ASHAMED of yourselves and all deserve a good kick in the pants and a slap across the heads!!! I think whoever supports this petition are a bunch of CREEPS!! So are all of you are saying that women who get pregnant from RAPE should force themselves to have a nine month reminder of the WORST night in their lives growing inside of them when all the victim probably wants to do is just forget about that night if they can, but won't be allowed to get rid of the reminder just because it's unethical to kill the rape baby before it has a chance to live? I'll bet the the poor women will go insane with the constant reminder, and probably kill themselves trying to abort the kid themselves if they can't go to a clinic to do it the proper way. And what about the mothers who may need to terminate their pregnancies in order to save THEIR lives, because they have some kind of illness that requires treatment that might damage or kill the baby growing inside of them? A lot of women, plus their families, might prefer saving their own lives in order to be able to spend more time with the husband and children they already have, rather than throw it all away by risk sacrificing their lives for the unborn child that's growing inside of them. What if the mother died from the illness before she even had the chance to give birth to the kid she gave up her important life saving treatments for? Then the family left behind would be in mourning for BOTH mother and unborn child, instead of just the unborn child. They can always try again when and if the mother's life is in the safe zone and no longer likely of dying anytime soon, that is if the treatment doesn't make her sterile or something. I say SCREW the whole lot of you who would consider the life of an unborn souless fetus more important than the sanity or life of the mother who has to bear them.

First of all, your "statistics" do not seem to mention miscarriages and complications due to them. You also fail to mention how 70% of pregnancies are miscarried within the first month of pregnancy, before the woman even knows she's pregnant. I advise you go on Planned Parenthood's website to know the facts for yourself. Okay, who has the better facts about abortion: a) An organization that performs thousands of reproductive-related operations every year, which as mostly done by doctors with master's degrees in reproductive health from Ivy League schools, or b) A religious organization that feeds off church dollars which has NO medical education whatsoever and who's facts are based on poorly done research. I'm going with a)

i support this because dont have sex unless your ready for a baby and dress more modestly. now i understand that the rapists and other types of sexual offenders should get their time, personally i think they should be sentenced to death or life without the possibility of parole now im not saying that if a 12 year old is raped and become impregnated that she should be expected to give birth to that child but i have heard success stories from girls who were 12 and raped and became pregnant and gave birth to the baby and are doing a good job at taking care of the baby
