Please please please do this. Comic Sans will be the downfall of all mankind eventually if it continues to poison people's minds the way it has been so far.
Just an idea: one could likely create a sort of virus to delete any file who's name includes comic sans, comicsans, (and other variants). Maybe something that would be transferred through e-mail (like the love bug), thereby destroying a large portion of the existing files and lending your cause some weight.

I just started a new job in a highly appreciated school. I found out that comic sans is on every document and it looks bad, cheesy and all I want to do is scream.
Wow, it's about time something was done about this font. They just put a grocery store in down the street and they have comic sans for a logo! Now I'm forced to boycot it and drive 10 minutes further for shopping (well worth the trip). I wrote thier corporate office a letter of disgust though I doubt it will help. BAN IT!
I support this petition with all my weight that is not considerable but i hope will suffice to erase the moster from every place taht is not a comic bubble (and maybe those too, since even used as was originally intended the font is ugly as sin).
I too work for a agency that supports bunny-punching and it makes me cringe. I have been told that the new documents in my agency that were created using comic sans are that way for 2 reasons. The first - to ensure we have consistency amongst all the documents we send out. Well that's nice because I am sure those that receive our "documents" will consistently laugh at my agency upon receiving them.
And the second reason - Because my co-worker likes to show what they have had their hands on, it is like a signature. Ha! What does that say about "my co-worker" as a person and as a professional...hmmmmm Why don't we just give my co-worker a crayon and a chalk board...I bet that will hold up in court.
Almost as rubbish as Comic Sans is the fact that signees of this petition must witness the random omission of necessary spaces between words from their comments!! Almost!!
I agree with number 327 - "This font seems to be the first choice for thosepeople who have no personality and/or nothing toactaully say when using it!" That is all.
I support this petition. Honestly, the legiablity of many publications (although lesser scale publications) has been ruined by the use of the horrid font comic sans. It is not made to help the reader digest the information and it doesn't even stay strait on the baseline. It is disgusting and I feel the best way to eliminate the 'creative office hand decides to use comic sans' problem is to irridaticate this font once and for all.

I especially hate seeing Comic Sans used in signage - as bad as it looks on screen, it looks a hundred times worse at a large point size in the windows of a shop or on the front of a building. Ugh !!
I do recognise that it's use in some very limited circumstances is ok, however.
I work for a governmental agency where one person is trying to convert all our forms from Times Roman / Arial to Comic Sans. It’s Disgusting. Would you submit a job application or resume written in Comic Sans. I hope not! This person is making our public forms in this garbage. So I stand in support of this movement!
Comic sans is the font of aging non-hipsters who are trying to recover their youth through the use of Comic Sans on signs for Bridge and Lawn Bowling tournaments
I've been a CS hater for many-a-year. It's about time that we try to end this terrible font. It's so bad it makes puppies cry and makes tears fall from the porcelain faces of angels.
