Comic Sans. It's an awkward, sickening, condescending font, only used by middle-aged idiots who think it looks 'fun' and 'cool' when writing about office parties or doing something for young people.
I support this petition because, here in the UK, use of this font is getting worse. They teach kids to use it in school, for crying out loud ('It looks friendly'). The default kerning is crap, it's hard to read and I'm even starting to see it on official level documents.
Because comic sans is used and abused, I am totaly sick of seeing it everywhere its so immature and I find it offencive for it to be used for formal letters and work.
because it is a bad font a any who uses it thinking they are being "cool" or "funky" are really being stupid but they don't know it. So to help these people out we should ban it. NOW

cause I cannot believe so many people using "funny" fonts in serious documents, or even in an office. Comic sans goes to comics, (ugly ones, nice ones got blambot) and that should be the end of it

As a designer I have to say that comic sans doesn't even deserve to be called a typeface!
Microsoft invented it and just like windows, it is both poor and over used.

teachers use it for everything because it's the easiest to for cildren to read, they should try another font for once, they may like it, Wait I'm sure that they dont like different but they should still rty a different font... Pift... Plus Its horrid, And so many people dont like it.
it's so true! People over use fonts, especially the default ones that come with Windows. If you think Comic Sans is hip and happening, step away from the keyboard...
The point of this petition is so true! I hate seeing this font used and reused all the time in any context, I see it too often in 'professional slides'!!
this is the only way to prevent font abuse. Comic Sans in any formal presentation is at least a Venial Sin. Not as bad as abominations like HTML email or eating shellfish, but still sets you on a path to eternal damnation.
urgh, go away damn comic sans! I am so glad I'm not the only one that is against it. I truly hate it - it's overused, over-rated and most appaling is used by 'proffesional' companies as their main text: some times it's their *logo*. Jeez.
You can always tell the bad worksheets at school from the good ones, as the font isn't comic sans.
