I believe parents should be limited in the upbringing of a child, this is for the simple reason of allowing the child to create his own upbringing, rather than being "guided" and then finding out after something happens and you reflect back on your life and realised "hey i didn't do that , my parents did that for me" you will become more aware of what is around you on a single upbringing of your own. Children will be able to learn from themselves and will learn good from bad by experimenting with themselves at a young age, this will lead to a healthier childhood as well as a more approachable personality of there own. This will allow the child to attain confidence something that many children lack in todays society this is because children today are being mothered or being brought up by there parents too much.

Lets look at this in context for a minute.

When we were all children, we had been LIED too, deceived and even ignored and locked up by our parents.

We constantly got shafted away to a babysitter or looked after by many people, this in itself is terrifying because all we knew was our parents. So being left alone with a complete stranger halfway through our childhood, was quite a traumatizing experience for i'm sure most children. We basically got locked up in an unknown place or even worse they came to the house i lived in and took absolute control of everything! We were limited with what we could eat, when we could sleep and what we could do. Again not a good example to set for the child.

We were constantly deceived by our parents, we had been brought up to think highly of them, without them acknowledging there own mistakes and yelling at the child for pointing out a mistake. We had been lied about when we "thought" we drew a good picture or got a high mark in our pieces of work, when infact we were told the same thing for every piece of work we did, again this makes children believe they have the potential to be the next president, but when growing up you realise that you had been lied to and that no, you cannot be the next president or leader in charge of a country.

The third and final point is probably the most common in all of parental history...

We had been lied to as a child, at a young age what does this make us think/do? It makes us want to lie and that my friend is not a good example to set for your children. Imagine living through the rest of your life knowing that at such a young age you were lied to, making you want to believe in mythical things such as Santa Clause, or The Easter Bunny, or The Tooth Fairy, i mean seriously, c'mon if parents get such a good kick out of lying to their children, then they my friend DO NOT deserve to be in that childs life whatsoever!

This is a serious issue and im hoping that people will come to realise how much off an effect this has on children.
