Pitbulls are dangerous animals. They were bred for one purpose, to kill. Too many children have died from attack from these dogs and there is no need for a person to own one.

I DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT support this petition. Anybody that does support this petition is extremely uneducated in the breed and their history. Before putting a ban on an entire breed, which in itself will be near impossible when breed mixes come into play, educate yourself on instances that attacks happened. the media has an extreme bias towards this breed because of its history. Yellow labs and golden retrievers are just as likely to bite somebody as any pit bull, when raised in similar situations. Laws should be in place for ALL dogs that are notorious for biting people. Albeit pit bulls, chihuahua, dachshunds, or poodles. The owner of those dogs should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. All dogs that DO attack, should be given a second chance through rehabilitation. Look at the Michael Vick dogs...only 2 have been put down and only 1 of those 2 was too viscous to handle. If that isn\'t a good solid foundation that dogs can be rehabilitated to be let back into society, even after the worst of conditions, I dont know what is. educate yourself before making a decision like this.

I support this petition. All dogs get spooked. They are just too strong and powerful for humans and other defenseless dogs to defend themselves... Sad, they are beautifil animals, but I must protect myself and my animals.
