For too long the star that we revolve around has been the source of worldwide oppression. In the summertime it provides us with unbearable heat, not to mention the burns that come with it.

The proposition: we somehow block out our sun Sol with some sort of device. For those sun lovers, we shall release it for a period of twenty-four hours on alternate Thursdays. On every other day, our preforable satellite Luna, along with candles, will provide us with adequite light. If this is not enough, we can resort to electric lighting.

This seems like a radical task, I know. But maybe if we recieve the signatures of one billion (1,000,000,000) people, the United Nations will hear our case. I'm sure they will agree upon something, and if they don't meet our whole demands, we can come to a compromise. I'm willing to settle for the sun being blocked out only on alternate weeks, or even a few days per week if I must.

haven't you people ever heard of global warming? We somehow need to have a little less of the sun. But if we try to do that, we will just end up hurting the environment more than ever. I also agree with comment 15.

I disagree completely with this petition. What is the world coming to? We need the sun to live. This petition is hilarious. Did you possibly think that we could live without the sun? A few sun burns, big deal. There would be a lot more harm to the Earth without the sun then with it. The sun is a natural source of light that has been living for billions of years. It provides us with all of our energy. Oh why am I wasting my time? I know that you guys know that this would be impossible anyway.
